Whilst tagged as PS5 which is what I play on, this could apply to all consoles or versions of the game. So I have a question. I recently played the West Cornwall local, and GWE. I cut in the AWS and DSD so it would work whilst I was driving. Anyway, the scenarios I was playing both required changing ends. So what I don't get is why, when you shut the cab down before changing ends - ie master key off, reverser off etc... that the DSD is still live. I changed ends, went a little way then the emergency brakes kicked in. Went back to the other end cab and the DSD alarm was buzzing. Re-isolating them worked for the 150 it seemed, but for the class 43, the brakes would not release, so had to restart the whole thing. Is this a game wide issue - the DSD still triggering if it's not isolated in a cab that has been shut down?
Unlikely as the safety systems are loco / unit specific, but in this case the same people set those units up so likely they didn't include the safety systems in the isolation routines.
Quite a lot of trains suffer from this, so I've made it a habit of turning safety systems off whenever I shut down any cab. It is annoying, yes, but it does mean I get a couple more switches to play with!
