    General description of route.
Dring along this beautiful, though busy Scottish commuter 90 mile route during the late 80s (around 1988) hauling stopping and fast trains in train sim world 4 on the Ayrshire coast line : glasgow to largs, adrossan and stranraer.

    Intro
Hello, I would like to suggest the Ayrshire coast line (glasgow to largs, adrossan and stranraer via kilwinning) for Train Sim World 3 because it is a very scenic and busy route plus it includes a part of the Glasgow Southwestern Mainline for drivers wanting to drive over a non-electrified section of track. A little note, I do know TrainGeek08 has recently suggested this route but set in present day I'm suggesting this route and a part of the Glasgow southwestern mainline during the late 80s due to specific rolling stock being used at the time. I am not trying to undermine his suggestion in any way I'm just suggesting my version of the route. This is why I think this will be a great route for Train Sim World 3.

The class 318 is a 3 car commuter secound generation EMU that is used on stopping and express services in the UK (Britain, wales/cymru and scotland etc). For this route they will be operating stopping services on the mainline from Glasgow to ayr, largs and adrossan using the Ayrshire coastline. The reason I chose to include this EMU in the route is because I wanted it in it's orange livery before it got replaced by the class 380. Also, I love the class just in general and wanted them in a route where they are the mainstay of it not second thidle to another train. Which is why I think the class 156 should be a part of the route.

The class 156 is a 2 car regional secound generation DMU that was used on stopping and express services in the UK (Britain, wales/cymru and scotland etc). For this route they will be operating stopping services on the mainline from Glasgow to Stranraer via kilwinning using the Ayrshire coastline until Ayr where they travel on the Glasgow south western mainline until they reach Stranraer. The reason I chose to include this dmu in the route is because I though having just the class 318 wouldn't be enough and I did some research and found out the class 156's operated on this line to ayr then Stranraer but also services in between the aforementioned stations. This lead me to add a section of the glasgow south western mainline as I didn't want the class going around 10 miles before ending a service. As I thought it would make this route suggestion really good if you got a super sprinter instead of a regular one going over 41 miles plus for a service instead of a mousey 10 miles which is why I think the class 156 should be a part of the route.

    Layering
    In

For this route layering will be class 47 with mk2s for passenger trains, class 20 from TVL for freight services on the route, NTP freight wagons for additional freight services and jubilee for railtours.

    Out
All stock would layer out to routes of similar era

    Scenarios (a example)
Wet, windy weather, forecast (difficulty medium).

Go drive a class 318 to Glasgow from Ardrossan while doing with harsh winds and wet weather.
    Training
To simply put it training for this route will be on and off the route. It will also include AWS and Neutral section tutorials.

    Timetable

    2tph to Largs and Adrossan.
    4tph to Ayr
    1tph to stranraer.

This is not the actual timetable back then it is just the modern one with a few tweats. If you have a actual one from back, then it'll be greatly appreciated.

    DLC

Any DLC you have in mine suggest below and i'll add it.
    Final words
I hope you enjoyed this suggestion which took me a whole week and I hope DTG might make this a route in the future.

Yeah, this is an alternative option to my recent suggestion, if DTG don't want to make the modern day equivalent :)

Strathclyde orange sort of looks like Irish Rail’s livery in the ‘90s.

Bring it on and as a bonus merge this with a 1980s GCC that way 314s SPT Orange Colours can run here

I could put that down as dlc for this route that adds the class 314 in the same livery as a extension.

It kinda does but I think the strahcylde orange is lighter in colour and at the time of the route has the British rail logo on it, plus another logo which I don't know if it'd be considered copyright using it if so than they can just make variations to it like island line.
