Today ill be suggesting a route that is probably my personally most wanted, the Ayrshire coastline spans roughly 55 miles (31 miles to Ayr, 20 miles from kilwinning to large, and 1 mile on top of that for the ardrossan harbour branch) This dlc would include 3 different types of rolling stock, including •Class 380 "desiro" (3 and 4 car variations) Both variants seen at Ayr The class 380 would operate main services on the Ayrshire coast, between Glasgow central and ayr (4tph), largs (2tph) and ardrossan harbour (1tph), with some services to shields depot and Ayr C.S.D •Class 156 "super sprinter" (2 cars) class 156 units at Ayr The class 156 would operate services between Glasgow central and Ayr, Stranraer and girvan, kilmarnock services would start at ayr and branch off at barassie. •Class 70 (locomotive) (Not my image) The class 70 would operate freight services along the coast, with a few services available. Some stock that could be layered onto this route: •Class 314 The class 314 would layer on for services between Glasgow and paisley gilmour street, shields depot services and A.I services around glasgow central (Also Not my image) Class 66 The class 66 would operate freight services alongside the class 70 I have an interesting idea for a scenario, this would be a scenario that takes place in 2019, and would include the class 314 farewell railtour, taking it from Glasgow central to Ayr and back. (The actual railtour had the carmine and cream livery, this could be an opportunity to add it into the game) Overall, this could be a likely contender for future DLC, it isnt too long, a good amount of rolling stock, a lot of services and stunning scenery, and i can see it going a long way.
Hi there, I think that is a great suggestion for a route. I have also recommended myself. Just watch the spelling. Also the class 314 was retired a few years ago
This needs to be put In the game and I think now there is enough people askig for it maybe it will be
I think it is considered bad form to tag DTG team members in routine route requests. Your suggestion has no less or greater merit than any other on these boards.
Excellent idea and this can be merged with Cathcart Circle if set to the same year as Cathcart Circle. Merger Bundle is Called Glasgow Commuter Glasgow Cathcart & Ayrshire Lines.
It's good to see another thread about this. As I have said in the past, I think the biggest argument for this route is one short section - Stevenston-Saltcoats in bad weather!
