Several things strange here. 1. I can't get it to load in QD at all. Gave error message. 2. It loads and runs fine on a Free Roam scenario. Lastly you need to notice two quirks. First one if you shove the reverser all the way over it's in dynamic brake. The forward is only half way unlike any other diesel I have anyway. Lastly the locomotive brake is full on when you begin so to get it to move it needs to be released. Hope that helps. Let us know.

Which game mode (scenario, freeroam, QD)?

Quick drive and free roam iv e tried ..the one time i tried a quick drive on Mountain. Sub started at Tunnelton got the brakes to release cause train started to drift slowly but when apply throttle the throttle lever flips shakes wont apply any power at all engine just at idle a poster above said to make sure reverser in forward and it s different than the other locos i will try that to see and report back later ..found also on soldier summit the idependent brake dont fully release on some engines i pull it to release and it go right back up itself to 20 or so percent

20 percent is the Release position on an american independent brake. Below 20% is the BailOff (springs back) which will release the loco brakes but won't affect the train brakes. Remember the HUD shows you the Handle position, not the brake force.

This is used for example in conjunction with blended braking, where you apply e.g. an Initial Reduction on the train, then BailOff to free the loco brakes (which are affected like any brake in the train by the train brakepipe pressure reduction) to use the traction motors as a dynamic brake (which won't give maximum braking power when brake shoes are applied on the wheels, as kinetic energy of the rotation is transformed into electrical energy therefore braking the train.)

Also, it's common practice when stopping large trains to apply the train brake and bail off the loco brakes before coming to a halt, making it a bit smoother and reduce coupler stress on the loco couplers. (And the loco brakes having no big impact on the whole train then, so you let the cars push/drag the free rolling locos). Run8's coupler stress HUD gives you a good sense of the huge forces within a heavy train.

Back on topic, just firing up TSC to see for myself.

Edit: No wonder the loco is as loud inside as from the outside, a typical DTM mistake. That's not a cab occlusion blueprint he used but a tunnel occlusion... amateur! (They are ALWAYS 256 bytes)

Running a scenario, no issues (Be sure you have set the game to "Expert Controls"!)

    Fantastic route...

Checking a QD, no issues also. Cannot confirm the bug report.

I'm not sure in my testing what went wrong. I went back today and successfully ran a QD scenario with the RF16. All my other comments still seem to be accurate.
