My shunting instinct reminded me that I hadn't completed all of the timetable sessions for the DB G6 S Shunter on the Rhein-Ruhr Osten route, so I set out for Germany.
The first uncompleted session I noticed was G6-Sh05: Collect and prepare Sggmrss wagons. There's a reason it hadn't been completed: it cannot be, because a rack of AI wagons parked in the wrong place causes one of the very long Sggmrss wagons to derail. How long has this generally great DLC been available? Why hasn't this very easy-to-fix (yes, just move or delete that rack of AI wagons) been handled?
The next session, G6-SA15: Bring loaded Shimmns to Hagen ran perfectly -- or would have done so had I remembered that after a direction change it's a good idea to check with the dispatcher.
By the way, I've become used to changing seats when reversing direction; an easy thing to do with this loco.
And that got me into trouble as I attempted G6-Sh16: Move loaded Shimmns in Hagen, in which I encountered two problems. First, either whatever is in those loaded Shimmns is v-e-r-y heavy, or there's a brake engaged: moving them requires a lot of throttle! Secondly, once I had completed the final drop-off (changing seats in the cab with each change of direction), the dispatcher informed me that my engine was off the path. What? After a bit of head scratching, I re-ran the session without changing seats -- and completed it without any nonsense.

Shunting fans who have not acquired this DLC add-on are really missing some (mostly) great experiences.

Just got this yesterday, its a top loco and a real challenging learning curve. Second the comment about this.

Regarding Sh05 I recall reading from TSG that the fix was made on the day of release (or the next day) but has been waiting DTG to test and roll out. Seems like the comment theme of lack of QA.

agreed. I did a scenario the other day and there was some nice touches and I felt like I was doing more than a quick wagon shuffle

As a former TS scenario maker I have to note that fixing this activity would only require moving or removing a single cut of freight wagons that causes the derailment. If you're correct about DTG not taking action after all of this time I'd like to know their excuse for such ridiculous behavior.

at a guess, they have been so involved with the steam train DLC, it's a whole different thing to simulate a steam loco than a diesel or electric one.

But they say they are taking a break from creating trains and routes for a bit after it's release, and have a long list of things to look at / fix with the sim.

in other places i read that the third party makers of some of the trains / routes have submitted the fixes, but they await DTG to check them out and release them.

So with a bit of luck over the coming months all this kind of stuff will be fixed,
