Good evening everyone. Lately when running career scenarios on the new San Bernadino Line, I receive bad stutters, low FPS and freezing when the train is running in the middle of the highway. Other parts of the route have noticeable micro stutters every few seconds but specifically around the highway, it is bad. If anyone has experienced this, is there a way to fix this or would this call for a patch from DTG. I am not sure if it has something to do with UE4 or the way TSW5 handles DirectX11 mixed in with UE4. Other routes have micro stutter but I find specifically the San Bernadino line to have terrible fps in most parts of the map. Below are my specs if that if that helps. Interesting, so far, San Bernadino Line is the only route where I experience terrible performance, particularly around the highway. I run TSW5 at max settings
For me (on ps5) Frankfurt to Fulda has issues. The only route out the 3 new ones that has been problematic. On one of the flixtrain scenarios, I reached less than 15fps around Hanau
I couldn’t even complete one service as the game fps drops to 2fps at the first stop after leaving Los Angeles. Uninstalled it completely.
It's impossible to get consensus on PC. So many hardware configurations, settings, mods, etc. And with TSW5, looks like it's impossible to get consensus even on consoles!
The consensus seems to be that the new routes run well below accepted standards in places on PS5/XSX and for many people on PCs that run older routes perfectly fine
Try the enhancement lighting graphic mod. And also change your drawing distance in your engine.ini to about 3. The computer is stuttering because its trying to load the distance textures when you approach them instead or have them already loaded in the distance. I had the same issues with the SB route as well until i tried the ELG mod specially with the LOW God mode and changed my drawing distance in the engine.ini to 3 it works 10x smoother and i can see textures a lot farther and the graphics still look pretty good. posted this on another thread. running on xbox x and epic with no issues. get higher fps on epic and distant scenery is much better also but it is know Xbox distant scenery is lower than PC and PS5.
we had this on the first few runs. but after it ran fine. What I did personally was let the AI drive the complete route the first each way. That seemed to do the trick.
Hey I know I have a Pc capable to run the game at high settings but I’m getting around 10 second freezes every 5 or sometimes 2 minutes with constant micro stutters: any way to fix this cause I really want to play this route!
Did you just get this route? If not you need you run a few services and it will get better. Do yo7 have any mods? If so might new to check as this might also be causing issues with this dlc.
Same here the lag makes this game so disappointing, since I've been on this train plenty of times IRL. FIX IT DOVETAIL
