Sadly BBO is one of the routes that still seems to have issues saving and loading a game. Luckily most of the runs are under an hour so my advice is only start if you can finish in one session.
The thing with the speed is correct! Some trains in Germany have diffrent speeds... So cargo runs way lower than the trackspeed.... The same is for the ICE1 frontcoach run... This train have a speedrestriction.... This is cause by the braking type or brakingcurve!
