I would like to see the route Dortmund-Düsseldorf via Castrop-Rauxel, Herne, Gelsenkirchen, Essen-Altenessen, Oberhausen, Duisburg On thus route drive a lot of train lines for example: RE3 "Rhein-Emscher-Express" Dortmund Hbf - Dortmund-Mengede - Castrop-Rauxel Hbf - Herne - Wanne-Eickel Hbf - Gelsenkirchen Hbf - Essen-Altenessen - Oberhausen - Duisburg RB32 "Rhein-Emscher-Bahn" with all stops from Dortmund until Duisburg On this route drive amongst other things the Stadler Flirt 3 XL on the RB32 an for the RE3 a Stadler Flirt 2.
I also think that a route from Dortmund is very interesting, because Werder in TS still has a route from Dortmund in TSW, since Dortmund is one of the largest traffic junction stations in Germany, Dortmund is actually a must.
The only route that would make sense would be Dortmund-Bochum because we already got the route between Bochum and Essen, but Dortmund to Essen would also work
There is a timetable to get to Dortmund but not being able to drive to Dortmund, which is really a shame. Like the Great West Express, you can directly reach Bristol in the route you choose to travel on the timetable, but you will not be able to go forward when you actually travel to Reading. DTG asks you to make the route timetable honestly, do not add to the timetable if you cannot reach it, or you can promise that the route that cannot be reached in the timetable can be extended in the follow-up.
I understand your frustration, but trains sometimes operate between cities hundreds of miles apart, and usually don't have the same driver for the entire length of the journey. The timetable should be accurate in my opinion, and that includes listing destinations not modelled on the route. Of course I'd like to drive trains for longer distances then currently available in game, but at the moment it's not feasible yet.
