Guten tag/hello hello! We have our FIRST Train Sim World 6 Preview Stream coming up next Wednesday (10th) September. We'd like to give you plenty of time to ask any questions before the stream, so please do so here. Please keep all questions related to Dresden - Leipzig, and keep all discussions on the separate TSW6 roadmap thread. We will also be having preview streams of the Morristown Line and the Riviera Line in the coming weeks. Any questions asked about those routes here will not be answered until those streams and there will be separate Q+A threads for those, so I'd recommend holding any questions until those threads are live to avoid your question being missed. Finally, be sure to take a look at our FAQ section! You might find the answer you're looking for before the stream even starts!
Since this route's timetable have the same year as DRA, will the BR143 and old stocks from DRA get updated? Will the BR143 available as a layer or being integrated? Will it be possible to install this route only and get the full experience without DRA installed?
What updates have been made to the rolling stock on this route? Will the ICE-T have proper PZB indicators now? Are the Dostos and 146 re-made? Would be shame to ruin what looks to be an amazing route with sub-standard stock that was fit for the first version of TSW and not the current one.
Will they new version layer into other German routes like the original. If not why because console players we don't get much memory.
Does the DB red 182 from Rapid Transit substitute into RE50 services on the route? Seems reasonable since it also does on Dresden-Riesa. Why has an Intercity 2 (whether it's the push-pull trainset or a Stadler KISS) not been considered for either the route itself or as the Deluxe loco/train? It would've made a lot more sense and great to have too.
Regarding fault simulation: Will the faults actually appear in the proper places in the trains or is this just a HUD prompt? In German trains there’s a yellow ST/Störung light or indicator in the cab whenever something goes wrong how will this feature work for HUDless players?
Another route where it will take well over an hour to finish an end to end run, even longer on a semi fast trip. Can you therefore please answer the question with regards to whether we will finally get more than one save slot to manage the increasing number of longer routes. Or will you continue to ignore the point?
Will the RT 1442 be updated to match the technical standard of the BR 442 from Dresden–Riesa? The current sound design of the 1442 feels quite unrealistic.
I wanted to know whether the city tunnel section below Leipzig (which was featured in Rapid Transit) was considered for this route extension, and why it was ultimately not included.
Can you clarify what exactly of Leipzig will be included? There is a massive freight yard in Engelsberg which is a very important one. I imagine that this will be fully included and functional? How much of the S-Bahn track that goes from Engelsberg via Stötteritz and Völkerschlachtdenkmal to the known section from MDR to Hbf will be included? The FAQ mentions the S4 being included in Leipzig but it is the S3 running from Engelsberg to Wurzen. I am sure that was just a typo but please clarify. For us timetable creators: Can you ensure that every yard in the route has a proper yard exit signal? Without which yard gameplay cannot be properly included in timetables. Can you ensure that no yard has automatic junctions (as these cannot be set inside a yard)? I ask this because Cologne-Aachen fails on this on numerous occasions which limited my ability to incorporate yard gameplay in my timetable. Would be a shame if it occurs here again.
You mean Engelsdorf? Yeah thats included! Thats why the 294 makes sense. The same for Friederichstadt where you have the same point its added extra to create more possibilities for freight oprations
Will we be able to hide the route hopping markers? *I know that’s not specific to this route but the markers have been ruining the look of stations on many routes since they were introduced and if they still can’t be hidden they will spoil the look of stations on this new route, so I’m asking.
Will the temporary speed limits always be the same and in the same places or will it all be REALLY random?
Besides the "legacy" DRA trains, which other locos will have layers on DLZ? And will the 1442 have any drivable services beside depot moves?
Back in 2018, the S4 operated the route to Wurzen/Oschatz instead of the S3. Does Dresden-Leipzig have a portal behind Meißen Triebischtal? On Dresden-Riesa, this portal is missing. It would be important for freight trains on this branch line and for the RB110 from Leipzig (only until 2015). (And "it would be important" means that if there is no portal, it's impossible to implement those services)
In the developer diary Matt P. talks about reworking and extending an existing route. How much of a rework are we talking about? While the remaster for Tsw 4 has enhanced this route a lot, you still notice it being a TSW 2 route with large scenery parts being emtpy, low quality or filled with repeating 2D bushes. Not to mention the very noticeable shadow bugs you get if you drive on the flyover shortly after leaving the mainline to Berlin. Without any new rolling stock the work on the route surely must have been the top priority meaning long existing bugs like these got fixed?
How likely is a future update to "finish" the airport branch? Normally I'd understand about branches being cut, but in this case it's short and only two stations, of which the track work seems to be done already.
If the BR 294 comes with Turbo/Dynamic Brake Failures, will they have any effect on the sounds or graphics, for example more smoke? Can we go down and see Leipzig Hbf (tief), even if the rest of the city tunnel isn't included?
Do I need to keep Dresden Riesa installed to get all the layers for the Leipzig extension? Will suspension be added to all the trains included with the route like the Talent 2? How is performance on consoles and does it suffer from blurred textures like Frankfurt Fulda?
Another question popped up: are stop positions on Meißen branch finally fixed so you don’t need to drive over them but can stop anywhere within? Was the route timetable tested with safety systems on and without HUD? The question about the Expert 101 I can answer: there won’t ever be an expert timetable for that loco by DTG.
He has right DTG will not publish a timetable for it... You already mentioned that its a TSG product.
BR 294 and BR 204 are very comparable in size and power. Does this mean, that BR 204 is subbing in Leipzig Dresden and BR 294 in Main Spessart Bahn and further routes where 294 will be available?
What is a decent amount? And how long should you expect that will be? If you have 50 timetables with a time around 2hrs is a little overdone
At least 100 jobs would be good in option thats just me other people might think different. I only say that many because it can do shunting and mainline running.
- Will international services like those from Cesky drahy - and others like NightJet etc - be represented in the timetable, which could use the Railpool BR 193 or MRCE 182 as a stand-in? - It's not clearly stated in the FAQ, but will the BR 193 Vectron have its own passenger IC/EC services to complement the 101? - Will the ICE 3 be included for AI traffic as the additional layers in the FAQ mentions the ICE 1 listed twice. - Why is there no BR 182 or BR 1116 included as additional layers? - Will the ICE-T with the the normal DB livery (just red stripe) also be included alongside the 'newer' liveried (green stripe) version? - Will the BR 1442 have any update at all? - The FAQ mentions a rail-tour by the BR 103, but what about the E94?
Will the route be able to be played on gen 9 console without the textures blurring (without having to turn layers off)?
If im correct ICE3 is not scheduled for Leipzig. Is only ICE-T and ICE4. Only when some track works are in place. On Dresden Leipzig is ICE3 not present at all.
as the new route is an extension to the previous route I am assuming that some of the schedules we have run on the old route would have run through riesa rather than terminating there. if that's the case what will happen to the current status of those schedules when the new extended route comes along? will the status be set back to not yet run? or will the status show the result for the run on the old route (gold, etc)? Or will the old route still be shown as a separate set of schedules alongside the new route?
This is not an extension but completely new route very different from the original so progress doesn't transfer over.
Rats. That means all those tedious all stations Dosto runs on the Meissen branch will have to be done again. Though I'm guessing the Journey mode for this route will be more expansive.
I'm looking forward to this route im hoping there is gonna ton of stuff to and lots of usage with 294. I didn't mind the meissen runs it was annoying having stop almost perfect for it to register. And from what I hear we still need original dresden installed for the layering on other routes.
What core model updates and fixes can we expect to see in TSW6? Has the passenger model been sorted as visually it looks identical even though there are issues with spawning, teleporting, full trains in depots, empty platforms at rush hour etc. Will there be an option to purchase all other layers required as a preorder bundle before release?
When can I expect adjustable driver seats. I would love to use my mouse to move levers or press buttons without using my keyboard all the time. Using Godmode to alter the perspective isn't enough, as it in most cases ruins my ability to read screens in the cab.
I don't have the exact place but DTG has mentioned in the past that they will only include layers with the original BR 101 + coaches. You can use the Expert 101 to substitute the original 101 but since the coaches won't be expert-level, the feature set is not complete. There are essentially only three choices they can make related to this: make services that only work with the original 101 (+ substitution) and another set of services in another layer that only work with expert 101 (+ substitution) make only services that only work with the original 101 (+ substitution) make only services that only work with the expert 101 (+ substitution) They won't pick the last one as it would require everyone to have the expert 101 to unlock IC service layer. The first option is what I chose for my timetable on Cologne Aachen but would require owning both DLC to get all IC services. So that option isn't ideal either. Therefore, DTG has opted to go for the second option. In order to get expert 101 timetables, TSG has to basically clone the timetables and replace the original 101+coaches with the expert 101+coaches.
