Before I get into the topic I just want to say, that I know a thread has already been opend
( https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/linz-passau-international-route.62807/ ) But since that threadd is pretty old I wanne shed some light on it again.

The route length is around 115 kilomiters or about 71.5 miles. The majority of the route is located in Austria, only Passau Hbf and a short part of the line after is in Germany (similar to S-Bahn Voralberg) The lines top speed is 160 km/h or about 100 mph. The line is equipped with the safety systems PZB (and ETCS?) The fisrt part of the line from Linz to Wels is on the Westbahn (Wien - Salzburg) before this line runs on its own for the other 81 km. The included rolling stock shold be:

The DB BR 411 'ICE-T' which run on the ICE services on the full lenght of the route with (if any) an intermediate stop in Wels. These services take around 1 hour to cover the route. The ICE-T can also layer (either as AI or playable services) on most german routes.

Then for the REX services the ÖBB class 1144 with Bpmz-i, Bpmvz-i and Bpvmz-s coaches have to be included. These services have 12 intermediate stops and take around 1h hour and 25 minutes to cover the full length. The 1144 can also layer onto the Semmeringbahn

For the Regional (R) services from Passau to Neumarkt-Kallham and Nemarkt-Kallham to Linz are operated by the Talent 1 and take around 45 minutes each. These trains do have the CityJet livery and an updated sound to the in-game Talent 1 should also be incorparated.

The locomotive for the freight services should be the DB BR 193, because it is the most common and because the BR 185.2 is massively overused.

The DB BR 146/111 with Double-Decker coaches could be AI layers for Passau on The RE 3 to Minuch and the BR 628 on the RB 46 to Mühldorf (Oberbay). The ÖBB 1116 with Eurofima Coaches can be services (maybe player operateable) between Wels and Linz as EC and RJ/RJX services (even tho it's unrealistic to have a EuroCity train as a RailJet)

So overall this is a route with good service variation where rolling stop the community has been requestet can (and should) be added. This route also fits into the trend of adding more Austrian routes that's going on right now.
