Hallo, nachdem der Editor schon eine gewisse Zeit draußen ist und ich mich zudem mit den Grundlagen ausführlich beschäftigt habe, dachte ich wird es Zeit für ein Projekt! Und zwar ein Großes, wobei man natürlich sagt das man langsam anfangen sollte, aber ich mag Herausforderungen. Kommen wir zu den Infos: Bei meinem Projekt handelt es sich um die Bahnstrecke Rheine–Norddeich MoleDie Bahnstrecke von Rheine nach Norddeich Mole ist eine Strecke die über die Orte Salzbergen, Lingen (Ems), Meppen, Haren (Ems), Lathen, Papenburg sowie Leer und Emden führt, bis letztlich nach Norddeich Mole, welches in Ostfriesland gelegen ist und einen Umstieg zum Fährverkehr zu den Nordfriesischen Inseln ermöglicht. Der Abschnitt zwischen Rheine und Emden wird auch als Emslandstrecke bezeichnet, da sie fast auf der ganzen Länge dem Flusslauf der Ems folgt. (Quelle Wikipedia) Daten zur Strecke: Eine Länge von 176km Eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 140km/h Insgesamt 17 Bahnhöfe auf der gesamten Strecke von Rheine nach Norddeich Mole Linien auf der Strecke die ich gerne einfügen möchte: RE 15 Emsland-Express der von Münster (Westf) Hbf nach Emden fährt (Zu Fährzeiten weiter nach Emden Außenhafen) Der RE 1 der in Leer dazustoßen würde und nach Norddeich Mole fährt, kommend aus Hannover Die IC Linie 35 von Köln aus kommend nach Norddeich Mole (Vereinzelt nur bis Emden Hbf) Die IC Linie 56 die aus Leipzig aus kommt und wie der RE 1 den Abschnitt von Leer nach Norddeich Mole bedient (Vereinzelt bis Emden Außenhafen auch) Fahrzeug Einsatz: Auf dem RE 15 werden Fahrzeuge des Typs FLIRT ³ von dem EVU Westfalenbahn, einer Tochter von Abellio eingesetzt Auf dem RE 1 werden Doppelstockwagen Garnituren bespannt mit E-Loks der Baureihe 146 genutzt Auf der IC Linie 56 werden ausschließlich IC 2 Garnituren eingesetzt, bespannt mit einer 146.5 Auf der IC Linie 35 werden E-Loks der Baureihe 101, sowie E-Loks der Baureihe 147 und 146.5 eingesetzt Besonderheit bei den Fahrzeugen: Am Wochenende, also Samstag und Sonntag verkehrt jeweils ein verkürzter ICE 1 BR 401 kommend von und nach Stuttgart in Richtung Norddeich Mole Mir ist bewusst das dieses Projekt sehr über ambitioniert ist und man sich frage wie ich das alles alleine schaffen solle, die Antwort von mir ist einfach das man es versuchen muss Dieses Projekt mache ich in meiner Freizeit, daher wird es ein wenig dauern bis die ersten Screenshots hier erscheinen werden. This looks like a great idea! I have one question: How far are you in the process? Because there is one thing, which came into my mind after hearing your suggestion. For the most part I guess, your route will be located in Niedersachsen, to be more precise the Districts of Aurich and Osnabrück-Meppen. I don't know if you're aware of that yet, but there is a problem with creating routes in Niedersachen, because the government does not provide the Lidar data (to be more precise the DGM (Digitales Geländemodell) for the country for free, yet. But sources, say that EU law will change that in the second half of 2024. As I see you it, you either could wait up and create the Nordrhein-Westphalen part first and extend your route later when the Lidar data is free or you go ahead and just build the route at the SRTM height profile (the low resolution height map). The latter is possible, but a bit challenging. It requires you to do more adjustments to the tracks and landscape than with the Lidar data. The only advantage you have is that the Niedersachsen part is relatively flat in comparison to landscapes with more mountains and gradients. Don't refrain from getting help in the forum!
I'm aware of the Issue with the LIDAR, the Plan is to start in Nordrhein Westfalen and After the LIDAR Data for Lower Saxony Releases I'm gonna continue... However, the problem will play into my hands a little, so if I feel like it, I may continue building to Münster so that the entire RE15 can be driven. Something I really like is if you can drive the entire route in TSW, you can turn around at both points and add shunting trips, as well as dome trips if I continue building to Münster... We'll see how that develops
A few words from me about the status of development: So far there is not even a meter of track, as I only came up with the idea last week... I am also faced with problems such as rolling stock, such as the FLIRT 3 from Stadler... In addition, I'm doing a full-time apprenticeship in IT... Yes, thinking big is always a good and probably the biggest motivator for getting into the project. I did so, too. But being in my project now, I can see that the time and effort with it as someone who isn't experienced in creating routes and run by a single person is enormous. So that I think it's better to work step by step and set your goals low first. If everything works well, one can always seize the moment and extend it.
I get my motivation for this project from train drivers who would be happy to see their home routes in the simulator... A few have agreed to tell me important points on the route so that I can install them and I can also get reliable ones from someone at DB Netz Information, at least to the extent permitted and legal

Hallo Dorian, Mir ist aufgefallen, dass hier lange nichts passiert ist. Deshalb möchte ich fragen, wie weit das Projekt ist und ob es überhaupt noch besteht. Da wird auch nichts mehr passieren, ist wieder der Klassiker. Das gleiche wie im TSC. Nothing will happen there either, it's the classic again. The same as in the TSC.
That's pretty normal. People start projects and they'll either lose their motivation, don't have the time and are stuck with a technical problem. All of that is nothing surprising. And no Modder owes us anything. It's a free time project. We can only hope that the Modder will return at some point. And if that doesn't happen, that's sad but also fine.
Mir gefällt, dass du optimistisch, sowie realistisch bist, und daran glaubst, dass man es einfach nur versuchen muss. Ich wünsche dir viel Erfolg und Freude bei diesem coolen Projekt
I think it's time I said something. I'll say right away that I definitely haven't forgotten about the project, and I haven't given up either. I want to continue with it. However, as you've already pointed out, I don't have the time. Especially now that I'm moving on to training and so on. I don't know when I'll be able to start laying the first tracks, but I hope I can do it sometime!
