Welcome all to a rather-different suggestion today, I'm TrainGeek08 and today I am suggesting the cross-border Strasbourg to Karlsruhe route from Train Simulator Classic as it will be a nice route to have in game with two countries similar to the upcoming Rosenheim to Salzburg route Route Information: Karlsruhe-Appenweiser: The Mannheim–Karlsruhe–Basel railway is a double-track electrified mainline railway in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It runs from Mannheim via Heidelberg, Bruchsal, Karlsruhe, Rastatt, Baden-Baden, Offenburg and Freiburg to Basel, Switzerland. It is also known as the Rhine Valley Railway (German: Rheintalbahn) or the Upper Rhine Railway (Oberrheinbahn). The line was built as part of the Baden Mainline (Badische Hauptbahn). Between Mannheim and Rastatt it runs parallel to the Baden Rhine Railway (Rheinbahn). The Karlsruhe–Basel high-speed railway, called the Ausbau- und Neubaustrecke Karlsruhe–Basel in German (literally: "Upgraded and new line Karlsruhe–Basel"), has been under construction since April 1987. This includes upgrading the current line to four-tracks in places and the construction of new line elsewhere. It was originally envisaged as being completed in 2008. The new construction work will be completed by 2035. The existing Rhine Valley Railway will then be expanded in the Offenburg – Hügelheim section by 2041 for speeds of up to 200 km/h.The Mannheim–Basel railway is one of the most important routes in the Deutsche Bahn network. Appenweiser-Strasbourg: The Appenweier–Strasbourg railway is a major railway line linking the French TGV station at Strasbourg with the German Rhine Valley Railway (Rheintalbahn) and the Karlsruhe–Basel high-speed railway (between Offenburg and Baden-Baden stations). It is almost entirely double-tracked and fully electrified. The section between Kehl and Appenweier is undergoing modernisation with the goal of a maximum speed of 200 km/h. The French section is owned by SNCF; the German section is owned by Deutsche Bahn. Page 3: (Principal) Stations: Karlsruhe: Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof is a railway station in the German city of Karlsruhe. The station is classified as a Category 1 station, as it is a major hub where several railways connect. Appenweier: Appenweier station is a railway station in the municipality of Appenweier, located in the Ortenaukreis district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It sits at the eastern end of the Appenweier–Strasbourg railway, whose western end, at Strasbourg, is in France. Strasbourg: Strasbourg-Ville station (French: Gare de Strasbourg-Ville) is the main railway station in the city of Strasbourg, Bas-Rhin, France. It is the eastern terminus of the Paris-Est–Strasbourg-Ville railway. The current core building, an example of historicist architecture of the Wilhelminian period, replaced a previous station inaugurated in 1852, later turned into a covered market and ultimately demolished. With over 20 million passengers in 2018, Strasbourg-Ville is one of the busiest railway stations in France, second only to Lyon-Part-Dieu outside of the Île-de-France. Points of Interest (POI): Pont de l'Europe: The Strasbourg - Kehl Bridge of Europe is a border road bridge between Germany and France over the Rhine. It is a four-lane road bridge that allows pedestrians and cyclists to pass through on either side of the roadways. It is the only road bridge connecting Strasbourg to Kehl and was also the only crossing of the Rhine for pedestrians and cyclists until the opening of the Deux Rives footbridge in 2004. The current bridge dates back to 1960 and its name is a symbol of Franco-German reconciliation in the aftermath of the Second World War. Approximately 130,000 vehicles a day pass through this bridge. It is the busiest cross-border crossing point between France and Germany. River Rhine: The Rhine is one of the major European rivers. The river begins in the Swiss canton of Graubünden in the southeastern Swiss Alps. It forms part of the Swiss-Liechtenstein, Swiss-Austrian, and Swiss-German borders. After that the Rhine defines much of the Franco-German border, after which it flows in a mostly northerly direction through the German Rhineland. Finally in Germany, the Rhine turns into a predominantly westerly direction and flows into the Netherlands where it eventually empties into the North Sea. It drains an area of 9,973 sq km and its name derives from the Celtic Rēnos. There are also two German states named after the river, North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate. (Strasbourg) Notre-Dame Cathedral: Strasbourg Cathedral or the Cathedral of Our Lady of Strasbourg (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Strasbourg, or Cathédrale de Strasbourg, German: Liebfrauenmünster zu Straßburg), also known as Strasbourg Minster (German: Straßburger Münster), is a Catholic cathedral in Strasbourg, Alsace, France. Although considerable parts of it are still in Romanesque architecture, it is widely considered to be among the finest examples of Rayonnant Gothic architecture. Architect Erwin von Steinbach is credited for major contributions from 1277 to his death in 1318, and beyond through his son Johannes von Steinbach, and his grandson Gerlach von Steinbach, who succeeded him as chief architects. The Steinbachs’ plans for the completion of the cathedral were not followed through by the chief architects who took over after them, and instead of the originally envisioned two spires, a single, octagonal tower with an elongated, octagonal crowning was built on the northern side of the west facade by master Ulrich Ensingen and his successor, Johannes Hültz. The construction of the cathedral, which had started in the year 1015 and had been relaunched in 1190, was finished in 1439. Mastery Rewards: Stage 1 - A new SNCF-style font for use in the Livery Editor Stage 2 - You will see a naming ceremony for a TGV unit at Strasbourg station I hope you have enjoyed the suggestion, if you have, put your thoughts on this TSC route being developed for TSW below as usual, I've been TG08 as always, enjoy the rest of your day and goodbye
Bring it on to the game and regarding the TSC route itself DTG read my Appenweier Strasbourg railway suggestion which means the voltage change at the Rhine River Bridge and the Euroduplex One use of the SNCF 186 loco is to do EN468/469 Orient Express Vienna Central Station to Paris Est where at Mannheim Hbf the Brussels to Vienna section is joined to it. French trains for the route are BB37000 X73900 alt paint DB BR641 and B85500.
Thanks, I like the power changeover at the Pont de l'Europe but I hope that with all the layers listed and more, this route will be really busy
how can DTG make this route without the BR 407 without br 407 we have only 12 services tgv we need the 407 and the why a br 186 it's false rolling stock in real life there are BB 37000 or prima for the services btw France and germany via Strasbourg and missing 2 trains X73900 and BR 650 for the services btw Offenburg and Strasbourg
Thanks for the clarification, the DB BR 407 would be necessary stock then I did the SNCF BR 186 as it was included in the TSC version but the BB 37000 could be included instead of this or as DLC
I would not be interested in this route as I prefer routes based in London. I understand your excitement though as the trains look decent
That's understandable, this route might not be everyone's cup of tea but the solution to that is to not purchase the route if it was to release as a DLC
I agree and for the freight locomotive, it's either a 185.0 or BB37000 for Germany to France through traffic. If Riesa-Dresden or RRO is owned 185.5 can run the Strasbourg to Karlshrue sleeper
nah it's not the same version and the 185.5 in real has not the french security system, it's a another 185.5 series are Traxx AC 1 have french security system
Would the Sleeper use IC coaches or different coaches altogether? Yeah, the French safety systems are quite important for this route so having trains which have them are a must
Translation: Hello, I wanted to know when it comes to PS4, and I wanted to know if we can add French TER from Strasbourg to the south of Alsace or to Molsheim. This is a suggestion, it has not been developed as far as I know for TSW4, it depends if the TER service towards Alsace and Molsheim runs along a section of this route IRL (C'est une suggestion, elle n'a pas été développée à ma connaissance pour TSW4, cela dépend si le service TER vers l'Alsace et Molsheim circule sur un tronçon de cet itinéraire IRL )
no it's a route in its own right but yes it's from Strasbourg to Molsheim,Baar ,Sélestat and St dié des Vosges via Entzheim airport (aéroport) in real life Run BB75000 BB 67400 +RRR (rush hour) only AGC X76500, B82500 B83500 (régiolis) and DE18 There are a lot of station and it's a diesel regional route there are a lot of service too
