Hi, brand new member here, and apologies if this is an obvious question/answer - I did a forum search but didn’t see anything related: I have TSW3 (not purchased any DLC yet) on PS5, and am keen to add the Bakerloo Line. Upon searching the PS store there are two DLC available to purchase, both £24.99 (each). One is a ‘map’ titled ‘Bakerloo Line’, while the other is an ‘add-on’ - ‘Bakerloo Line & Silver 1972 Stock’. I’m not too fussed about 1972 stock (but won’t say no to it) so my question is, should I buy the 1972 stock one, as it comes with ‘Bakerloo Line’ anyway (at the same price), or is it not that simples? In this case, what’s the difference between map and add-on?! Many thanks for any answers!
In this snap, 1st one is the route DLC. You'll get the Bakerloo line and the 72-stock train ( originally a part of the TSW2 base game ) 2nd one is an expansion to the aforementioned route. You'll get a 72-stock train in Silver Livery. Additionally, you'll get a timetable on the Bakerloo line where this train operates a ( sort-of ) railtour service along with the 38-stock ( if you have it, that is... ). This DLC was a part of 'New Journeys Expansion' in the TSW2 days... *For this timetable to work, you'll need the base route, i.e. the 1st DLC. Thus, make your decision accordingly... All 3 timetables. 1. For 38-Stock only. 2. Original timetable that comes with the route. 3. 'New Journeys' Timetable. Original 72-Stock Train With everything installed. Personally:- I got all three ( these two & the 38-stock ). The reason is that the new timetable has Class 66 hauled, AI-only freight trains ( alas, you need other DLCs for that ). But, it really makes the route come alive.
The only difference between the two products that you're showing is that the second one includes a silver 1972 stock that can be used on the Bakerloo Line. It's literally just a different livery you can use on the train. I'd recommend getting that pack, as it's the same price as the Bakerloo without the extra content. You'll gain a new useable livery, 3 extra scenarios, and I believe a few extra timetable services. So yes, get the Bakerloo + Silver 1972 Stock add-on! It's pretty cool!
In case you were wondering, the silver (ie unpainted aluminium) livery was what the 72TS(II) originally wore when it was new. The red-white-and-blue scheme was adopted in 1994.
Shackamaxon rennekton#1349 Krazy solicitr thanks for all your replies and info! Loving TSW3, and love the London Underground (I live in London and get to ride it often!). I was thinking the DLR would be a great addition, but then remembered there’s no driver
