I'm not an expert on the London subway, but I think that can't be normal or is it normal because well on other routes (on the road with tunnels it doesn't rain in (
Yeah it's a new bug in TSW4. It happens on SEHS as well. Didn't happen on either in TSW3. Really, really needs to be fixed as it kills any immersion.
After fixing that glitch they need to look for a way that the rails stay dry inside the tunnel when it’s raining outside, it’s ridiculous that rail adhesion is the same indoor as outdoor when raining.
Well it was raining in our house upstairs the other day when our cold water header tank decided to spring a leak!
I suggest DTG to take huge break from new releases, and take their time to fix all the new introduced bugs. That cant really be the case, the entire customerbase ends up as beta testers.
They're going to make a lot less money if people get tired of the bugs and issues and stop buying new stuff.
Funny I'm playing that right now and was coming to ask this question lol I was wondering why it was raining in the tunnel lol
Are you stating this as a bug? Because TSW is capable of doing that. Most tunnels on SKW stay dry while it is raining outside and you can use this time to accelerate your heavy freight trains. Unfortunately some tunnels were forgotten in this process, though…
I´ve noticed this as well. The attrition factor definitely changes and works as an advantage for the heavy trains. But as you rightly point out, not in all tunnels.
Can it be bumped up the proverbial queue? It really kills any immersion on a lot of these routes with tunnels when it rains. It's present on South Eastern Highspeed as well.
I called this a bug but it’s more like a missing feature. Since it came out in TSW2, rail condition is the same inside tunnels when raining. SKW was made on TSW3 that explains why it was implemented there and not perfectly, as you stated and I noticed it’s not the same everywhere I struggle sometimes while doing some freight runs.
Hello, The issue in question we can raise again with our development team, and I'll include it on our active community priority list to look at. It doesn't guarantee a resolution, but currently we're dividing our attention between priority issues from our QA testers / development, and also to those voiced from our community, and I'll be sure to include it on the latter. Thank you. DTG Alex
Thanks for replying on this. I wasn’t even aware that it was not a feature prior to TSW3. I remember TSG Mike talking about the fact that he likes the physics within TSW and that on the ICE1 on SKW you can actually watch the rear still slipping, while the front is already in the tunnel with better traction. Apparently something TS classic can not do. This was confirmation to me that this feature actually exists…
Speaking of rain on the bakerloo line, does the wipers on the 72 stock still sound like sawed off shotguns?
THIS! There’s no reason over 3 years after release you can still hear the wipers 10 metres outside of the cab.
Question is were you aware of this bug before TSW 2.20 (AKA TSW 4) was released and if so why was it not dealt with beforehand? If not then do you think your testing procedures are up to scratch? I'm sure a resolution will be found but will you again have the bare faced cheek and gall to put it behind a paywall and make it only available to buy in 10 months for £50 when TSW 2.30 (or TSW 5 as you will no doubt laughably market it as) is released?
So, the development team accidentally introduce an immersion breaking bug that pulls the player out of the experience, which is an entirely resolvable issue – but the official response is that no resolution is guaranteed? Unacceptable. DTG: It's time to treat your product and customer base as if you care about them. Yes, bug fixing takes time and resource, but come on now. Enough is enough, indeed.
Oh dear, that response from DTG Alex isn't great, oh well, look forward to seeing it fixed behind a TSW5 paywall. It's just not Bakerloo this bug is affecting, I've driven through Standedge tunnel on NTP and have had to put the wipers on!
There’s a definite attitude to bugs from DTG. It seems pretty much to ignore anything that doesn’t crash the game and hope it goes away. It’s really not on at all.
Makes sense as... "but currently we're dividing our attention between priority issues from our QA testers / development, and also to those voiced from our community" Means that QA is not seeing such obvious stuff like this or is adviced to only report crashes / non completable services or scenarios. The other question remains, now 4 weeks have past since TSW4 release and we had only the most minor fixes you can possibly imagine, how can that be?
This happens because the connection between tunnel occlusion sections is incorrect or incomplete at some routes. For the same reason you can see portions of sun light inside dark tunnel sections, including the related camera in and out exposure effect therefore, at New York, SEH, Sand Path, etc. Cheers
