Hey devs Someone made a post already a while ago: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...tydfil-to-barry-island-and-cardiff-bay.85686/ Barry island has a Tv show here called gavin and Stacey. If be good to do the Cardiff route to Barry island and back or even to rhoose etc wales has huge potential for routes and it be good to see them I did see there is a "Barry Island" line but this is not correct, it only takes you to Cogan which is not Barry Island and then it ends for some reason.
Well to be honest Barry Island should have been included on the just released Cardiff network. It’s unlikely DTG would create this as a separate standalone route. Best chance would be if Cardiff network got extended but DTG generally don’t go back and extend previously published routes (SEHS was the exception).
I think they were contemplating that, but decided that the Ashford extension would add more playability to the route. Which, given there's also the opportunity for depot moves around Ashford Depot, and the ability to give the Javelin a good run at full speed, was a good decision.
If they do extend the Cardiff route to Barry Island. Should also include Rhoose CIA, Llantwit Major, and Bridgend. Maybe include the mainline between Newport or Cardiff Central to Bridgend too. Which would add Pontyclun Llanharran and Pencoed. Would add a possibility of having drivable HSTs, 175, 197s and class 67 with mk4 coaches.
Doubt they will ever make a TFW class 175 as they no longer run them, however the scotrail 314 is in the game so who knows.
The DLC Cardiff City Network: Radur & Coryton – Penarth & Bae Caerdydd Route Add-On already has the trains, we just need the route Barry Island, Rhoose CIA, Llantwit Major, and Bridgend - This would be a good addition to the game I think
New stations Eastbrook Dina’s Powys Cadoxton Barry docks Barry Barry Island Rhoose Cardiff International Airport Llantwit Major Ponyclun Llanharran Pencoed And Bridgend And the roadmap says we are getting a TFW pacer: Our Pacer features the transition livery when the Arriva names and logos were removed and the TfW branding was placed over the basic underlying Arriva livery. We are supplying two versions of this, one with no TfW branding at all and the other with the TfW large side length “THE START OF A NEW JOURNEY” banner art proclaiming the transition to TfW operations. As with many trains there are many changes and variations throughout their lives and we have incoporated these into our TfW 142 to make it time-period correct.” “Aside from the debranding of the previous operator this version has LED Headlights, the 4 leaf doors replaced with 2 leaf Bi-Fold doors, updated door open/close operating buttons, Sanding equipment fitted to aid with slipery rails, the smash glass to acces emergency door handle (non operational in the sim) and on the roof are the NRN (National Radio Network) and and GSM-R (Global System for Mobile for Railways) antennas.
