Fished a bass tournament and caught 17 pounds worth that were not counted. Caught a few others that were only counted a little ie 7 lb. counted as 1.6 lbs. etc....haven't had a tourney yet where it counted all of my fish???

Hi David, the online tournaments will count the top 5 bass you catch. If a bass is smaller than that it won't be counted, if it is bigger than your 5 being counted the difference in weights will be added.
This doesn't make sense. When I caught a 16 pounder and only got credit for 3 pounds, I didnt' have a 10 pounder as my smallest of my 5 - the math doesn't seem to work out.?
I'm surprised by the lack of help here. I thought I was really going to enjoy fishing the online tournaments and haven't had a successful experience with it yet.
