    The Battle River Railway or BRR is a new generation cooperative shortline Railway based out of Forestburg in Alberta Canada. The Railway was purchased in 2010 by area producers and residents. The Railway is Alberta longest straight section of Railway, beginning in Alliance and continuing 52 miles To The Camrose area. Battle River Railway or BRR serves its agriculture and industrial customers on a weekly basis with Three 3000 HP locomotives.

    The Locomotives used on The small Route Three GMD SD40-2W now EMD SD40-2W and other Locomotives purchased From The Canadian National Railway The GMD Built These Locomotives in 1976 To 1980
