I have noted when running BCC that the vigilance alarm goes off even when you are stopped at a station. Never seen this on any other UK route.
On most UK trains in real life, the dsd/dvd will be active if the reverser is not in neutral regardless of whether the train is moving or not. Perhaps it’s the first time it’s been accurately done in TSW.
This was also a feature when the Class 465 loco DLC was first released. Also, Northern TransPennine Class 45 and 47 will activate DSD if you stand up (and unisolate DSD).
Whenever you say things like this, there's always someone who jumps out going "well actually..." I'm sorry that was me, I do need to work on keeping my pointless trivia to myself.
If you watch the release stream with the guard who works on them in real life, whenever they stopped at a station they put the reverser into neutral, thus disabling the alarms. I've taken to doing this on any "newish train" to avoid whiny alarms going off
It is the standard procedure for driving uk trains at a station stop. Stop, apply full brake, reverser to neutral, turn on dra if necessary then release doors. Then when you get the ‘right away’ to depart you do the exact opposite.
