First of all sorry if this has been asked before. I have the original TSW which is now TSW 2020 plus I have bought 4 dlc's. I notice in Xbox store you can buy a basic version of TSW2 (not collector's edition or deluxe edition) for £24.99. Does this overwrite TSW 2020 or is it a separate installation. If it does overwrite can I still play the 4 dlc's I have installed? Dave
I think it’s separate. Doesn’t really matter too much. You’ll get all your TSW2020 routes in TSW2 because of preserved collection.
TSW2020 and TSW2 are separate games, including DLC. Progress will start over in TSW2 as it uses a separate save file. There is a glitch that causes DLC to disappear from one game if you switch between them (this usually means quitting the game and restarting the Xbox).
Hey Steam_Buff_UK TSW2 Train Sim World 2020 and Train Sim World 2 are completely different games, and it will be installed as a separate game. As part of the preserved collection any DLC you have on TSW2020 will be carried over to TSW2 (excluding NEC and all associated locos). As has been explained above, for some users there is a bug where you can only have one game installed at a time or unfortunately they won't work correctly. This is something we are working on to rectify.
