Hi there, today I would like to request a route for Train Sim World 4. This would be a Belfast Lanyon Place to Dundalk route. also, I’ve updated this since TSW 4 is now releasing: Stations are: 1: Lanyon Place (NIR, ENT & IE) 2: Botanic (NIR) 3: City Hospital (NIR) 4: Great Victoria Street (NIR only) 5: Adelaide (NIR) 6: Balmoral (NIR) 7: Finaghy (NIR 8: Dunmurry (NIR) 9: Derriaghy (NIR) 10: Lambeg (NIR) 11: Hilden (NIR) 12: Lisburn (NIR, ENT* & IE*) 13: Moira (NIR) 14: Lurgan (NIR, ENT* & IE*) 15: Portadown (NIR, ENT, IE) 16: Scarva (NIR) 17: Poyntzpass (NIR) 18: Newry (NIR, ENT, IE) 19: Dundalk(ENT, IE, NIR*) This route uses UK Safety systems Rolling stock: Enterprise De Dietrich set (built in 1996 and introduced in 1997). In 2007 they were slightly refurbished, with a major overhaul starting in November 2014 and being complete in April 2016. The top speed of these trains are 90mph (145 km/h). NIR/IE 201 Class loco. (Built in 1994/1995). Nine locos are equipped for Enterprise and they are as follows: also, there are three liveries of 201 loco that run the Enterprise. 206 (ENT) 207 (ENT) 8208 (ENT) 8209 (ENT) 216 (BGH) 227 (ENT) 228 (ENT) 231 (Common User Livery) 233 (Common User Livery) Here is 216 in the Belmond Grand Hibernian livery. The Common User Livery that 231 & 233 have. Now onto the DMUs:
To start off the DMUs is the NIR 3000 Class These were built between 2004 & 2005 and have a top speed of 90mph (145 km/h). The first six units (3001 - 3006) are equipped with CAWS that allow them to run into the Republic of Ireland. The other sets (3007 - 3023) are also permitted but are required to have an additional staff member onboard. The 3000 class also have a top speed of 90mph (145 km/h) This is the NIR 4000 Class DMU. These sets were built in 2011 and a numbered as (4001 - 4020). Six of these sets (4014 - 4020) were made into six car walkthroughs in 2021 and 2022. Just like the 3000 class, the top speed is 90mph (145 km/h) Irish Rail 29000 Class DMU These units were built between 2002 with 20 units and entered service in 2003. However, a further nine units were built and entered service in 2005. In 2014 an overhaul began for these trains repainting them into the ‘green goddess livery’. These trains have a top speed of 75mph (120 km/h) And last but not least we have: Irish Rail 22000 Class DMU These were built mainly for Intercity work but can appear on commuter trains. They were built between 2007 & 2011. Ten of the units (22001 - 22006 & 22036 - 22039) are fitted with equipment to run on NIR. The formations are as follows: 22001 - 22010 - 3 car 22011 - 22030 - 4 car 22031 - 22041 - 5 car
Lastly, here is the route: Belfast Lanyon Place - Dundalk Rail Halt The route is approximately 45.6 miles long and would take 1hr 15mins - 1hr 20mins to complete. Aswell as that, I have thought of maybe you could include York Road Depot in the route. This depot is located in Belfast and would mean a total of 20 stations with the inclusion of Yorkgate station. Aswell as that you could potentially include the Belmond Grand Hibernian train as an add on for the route.
This is great. We started a thread about Northern Ireland a while back. It seriously needs looked at.
There are some Irish Trains and a Route available (oh, and a half finished Dublin DART one) but its old now, and for TS classic on UKTS... I should ask the guy does he want to put it up on Git hub or somewhere, So we can update the Train Units (at least) to TSW 4.
