I want to suggest a famous TS-Route: Berlin Hbf (tief) to Lutherstadt Wittenberg General Infos: Length: 115 km Stations: 30 Safety systems: PZB and LZB Important Stations: Berlin Hbf (tief): Berlin Südkreuz: Lutherstadt Wittenberg Hbf: New Trains / loco DLCs: DB BR 401 ICE 1: DB BR 411 ICE T: - BR 193 Vectron (DB or MRCE) for freight services - BR 110 and n-Wagen and Wittenberger Cab car if it's set a bit more historically Layer: Regional: DB BR 112 from Hamburg Lübeck as RE 3 DB BR 143 / 146 from Dresden Riesa as RE 3 Long-Distance: DB BR 403 ICE 3 from München Augsburg DB BR 101 (if the route is set a bit in the past) Freight: DB BR 185.2 and/or MRCE BR 185.5 MRCE BR 182 from Hamburg Lübeck
Excellent idea and to make it better extend this to Bitterfeld so that this route can be bundled with Rapid Transit as the Berlin-Wittenberg-Leipzig Route pack for $29.99 (€29.99 Germany Ireland EU Eurozone Price). Own Rapid Transit & DB BR182 DLC then it can do freight services here
Hopefully, the ODEG (East German Railway Company) will allow the use of the KISS on this route. The travel time is long enough (60 to 90 minutes for the whole route) and high-frequent to interest. The weekend of this comment, there are a discussions about a route from/to/through Berlin, with some thinking the route is heading for Frankfurt(Oder). That route requires a lot of landscape from Berlin, with the littlest detail missing noticed. This route is more reasonable. It doesn't require the BR481 to be built to drive and has more options to drive, from regional or freight to high-speed (200km/h).
I've kind of gone off German routes lately, but I would be interested by a Berlin one, as long as it had drivable lines to both the high and low level platforms at Hauphtbanhof. It is my favourite station in Berlin and I always stay close by because of the transport options (train, tram, bus, U-bahn).
