Section Tirano - Ospizio Bernina in development by Rivet

    Wikipedia Article
After the Arosa Line it is time to expand the RhB network in TSW. This is the Bernina Line, a UNESCO world heritage site that connects the towns of St. Moritz (CH) and Tirano (IT). The Line also features the highest and lowest stations above sea level, as well as the steepest gradient, on the entire network. Due to a different catenary voltage, the rolling stock differs quite a lot from the core network. Only the Allegra ZTZ is able to run on the Bernina Line and the core network.

    Quick Facts:

    Length: 60,7km
    Max. Speed: 80km/h
    Max. Gradient: 72‰
    Track Gauge: 1000mm
    Catenary Voltage: 1000V=
    Signaling System: System L
    Safety System: ZSI-127

    Optional Extras:

Due to its high elevation, the line is covered in snow for around 8 months per year. In winter times fresh snow heights can reach multiple meteres per day. Therefore the tracks have to be cleared daily to keep the line open. This would add a nice feature to the game and add some extra scenarios to this line.

Excellent Idea and this route on Sister Game Train Sim 21 made by Thompson Interactive. Speaking of the ABe 8/12 Allegra it's also a train that can be layered on Arosa Line DLC made by Rivet Games. Speaking of Thompson Interactive they need to come to Train Sim World 2 as another third party to work on the game. The following third party on TSW 2 are Skyhook Games Cane Creek and Rivet Arosa Line.

This would be a great scenic route

...as long as it's not made by Rivet 'Golf Course Mountains' Games.

Would love to see a snow plow :).

I really hope that the scenery on this will be better than Arosa.

Good choice - with two caveats.
Don't let Rivet anywhere near a route with more than a slight hill.
It needs to encompass the whole route in one sitting not as happened in TS with the first section only to Posh, then Posh to Tirano added as a separate purchase later.

Alan Thomson who created the Swiss Routes on TS2021 was a founder of Rivet Games. So they are effectively the same company. Rivet Games is what Thomson Interactive became.

Thank you for telling me about it so it's the same people that made this for train simulator 21 and Arosa Line for TSW 2. I wonder if Dovetail games can find a partner 3rd party based in Switzerland to do this route. This is because if you let Rivet Games make this it will be the same thing as what they did to Arosa Line. That way if DTG has a Swiss Third Party developer make this Berina Line doesn't end up like Arosa Line

I would love to see Bernina in TSW. I am not negative on Rivet. The only real issue are the distant mountains, but they are not so ugly under all light circumstances.

I gather Alan Thomson has retired from making TS content - I guess Rivet was in part him passing on the mantle. I think it's safe to say he isn't really involved in the TSW content
