Which is the best pro range addon? I would like to surprise myself with a Christmas present, all types and countries are welcome. Thanks!

There are a myriad to choose from, are you looking for 3rd Party DLC or just whats available on Steam?

If you are looking at what is currently available on Steam I personally recommend :-
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1869396/Train_Simulator_BB_1063_Loco_AddOn/
I found the RSSLO OBB 1063 very challenging.
There are about 15-20 steps just to get the thing started and moving.

If you like your steam Locos any of the BMG kettles are up there with the best e.g.
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/896718/Train_Simulator_LMS_Rebuilt_Royal_Scot_Steam_Loco_AddOn/

If you are in to commuter Slam door stock I highly recommend the Class 205 "Thumper"
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/...twork_Southeast_Class_205_Thumper_DEMU_AddOn/

As I say if you are looking at including 3rd party DLC then pretty well anything from the likes of Armstrong Powerhouse, Virtual Railroads, RSSLO, 3DZug, Bossman Games, Steam Sounds Supreme ....... the list is endless.
It all bores down to personal taste of what type of train do you prefer to drive.
I personally am just having great fun getting into the Just Trains Metropolitan Line underground S7 + S8 units, again challenging but in a different way.
Like I say depends where your focus lies but now is definitely the time to buy.
There are great discounts available on tons of DLC from multiple suppliers.

May I also add, please ensure you study the manuals before attempting to use these beasts, they are certainly not just
"select forward - brakes off - accelerate and go" machines.
    Hope some of that helps
    Good luck and enjoy

Just a word of caution, not all the Pro Range advertised products are up there with the best.
Some are questionable as to whether they should even be in the Pro Range category
For example the Class 86 & Class 87 models on steam are not in the same league as the Armstrong Powerhouse equivalents.
    Links to :-
    AP Class 86
    AP Class 87
These AP versions are definitely PRO RANGE
Dependant on your flavour of rail traffic i.e. !980s / 1990s Tap changer electric locos, these are possibly two of the best locos out there.
The ones on Steam are basically the same locos that come with WCML North & WCML Over Shap as standard.

Again if you are in to North American Freight railroad traffic none of these will be of any interest to you whatsoever.
"Horses for courses" as they say
    Good luck in your quest
