There’s a great ‘On foot’ mode in TSW which can be used to ride as a passenger but there is something missing that makes it less appealing. I can board a train and take a seat and then I go to look at the schedule and all I get is “Schedule is empty” but the train definitely has a schedule for the current service. Now, considering that the AI driver is following the same schedule as I would be if I was driving and that the game knows I am a passenger in that train once I sit in a seat, why can’t I have the schedule of the service shown when I access it just as I would when driving myself? So that’s my suggestion - have the schedule of the train you are a passenger of available to look at during the service. It would let you know where you are on the route, what station is next, and what the final stop is. As a passenger, that’s all vital information.
P.I.S. Need I say more? Maybe you could select a destination on the driver's timetable and you would have a ticket for that destination afterwards. The schedule wouldn't come up. Instead you could look at your ticket and it will show your your E.T.A. any other info can be found on the P.I.S system if implemented.
That’s a whole new gameplay functionality that wouldn’t work if you start off on foot and get on a random train. I’m just asking for something that’s already in the game (the schedule being followed by the AI) to be shown on the screen for player information. Of course having the next station shown on the PIS is great information if that is depicted in the train you are travelling on but not all passenger trains have that. All trains in TSW timetables do have a set of instructions they are following and it would be simple for that to be shown in the same place as when you are driving.
