    They've recently ordered 30
    My speculative 20Dec reveal
100 mph freight pulling power; with the new wagons obviously.

Don’t think it is big enough for the big reveal
Whatever it is going to be, it will be more than a single loco

For it to be a big reveal, it surely has to be something more than a route, something for the game itself, a core feature perhaps?

it would feel underwhelming that the big reveal is just a single route being announced…but that depends on the route of course.

Didn't imagine it would be a new core feature; with the 9th gen consoles already getting dangled out a fourth floor window, every time they run a timetable.
    It's possible though Mr Southern.
    Thanks for the reply.

Boxing day sale across all platforms all DLC 70% off.

I actually think the "BIG" reveal isn't going to be that big and people will be dissapointed. Probably be a release date for one of the routes not talked about yet early in January.

My each way bet still on a possibility of return to steam, with the Riviera Line or Somerset and Dorset.

Well Vern you finally got your MK1 buffet carriage.
Steam could be a real possibility with all the new players onboard.Might be financially possible now.
I'll second the Riviera line with you in the new year.
    Have a good weekend.

It wont be something massive like a feature like Multiplayer(what no one needs atm), it wont be the announce of TSW6 obviously, it wont be a new type of game.
My guess would be a Rush Hour Pack they have been working on for some time. Maybe not a route pack, but a loco dlc pack for the main countries. It would include the most requested locos like (i dont know about UK and Us so im just guessing here) UK: Voyager Class for WCMLS, US: Alco Century 855 for all Routes near LA, Germany: ICE 4 BR 412 for FTF.

I think most of the community would gain something from that, its not to big to be in a new game, they could charge 1-2 Bucks more because these locos would be well done, all Tsw 5 core routes would get a massive upgrade and as far as i know, most companys for licence are already in game.

...Reveal for 20th: Tsw Tyoon 2

It's definitely something that's been worked on for a while; that was certainly mentioned.

    My guess:

The big reveal is a free (?) extension of Frankfurt Fulda including the S-Bahn tunnels for which the tracks are there. Paid DLC is the 420 that has been kept a bit on the back burner officially.

Edit: and it would be awesome. FTF is a big, big asset.

KGX to PBO with a 91 of course. Same era as DON -> PBO. Now just to hope that when Matt was saying no plans for a 91, this was due to an NDA… :)

    Nothing nasty about it Fred.
If Dovetail bought the route,so it could be published.
I'd personally rather purchase it to support the young lad.

For the big reveal i would guess:
    - an alternative for the class 66
    - a complete new country/border crossing
    - Steam?

Steam getting a few mentions, could be a possibility for that something they've been working on for a while.
I don't hate running the 66,it would be nice to have a choice though.

Since I was right in calling out the Manchester Airport Route and not just the JT Class 86 but that it would include "Coffins" I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the big reveal will be - a logbook, yes you sir/madam can keep a computerised copy of a driving log book for your ultimate red pen moves...

I sort of want to be sarcastic but then I do remember it being a question in their survey last year and well, erm, even I said I'd like that feature...

    Must have missed that Phil
Other than steam, core features is another good one.
    Never considered a proper logbook.
Don't mind some sarcasm either Phil,it wouldn't be the weekend on here without it.

It's wishful thinking + they kept WCR remaster very secret for a long while, so you never know

What I hope it will be:
New concept "mega routes" (which would cost more than normal routes) with the first one being London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour with the class 444, 450 and all variants of the class 455, impeccable performance and an accurate rendition of the beautiful aircraft between Weybridge and Byfleet & New Haw
What it most likely will actually be:
Probably something core related, whether good or bad (such as multiplayer or announcements), or something downright underwhelming like another Xmas train DLC.

It was just one or maybe two questions that popped up during the survey last year, I'd hope that unlike EA, DTG would actually use that feedback to make the game better (EA - I'm still waiting on the hotel management side to The Sims 4).

I've just posted this in a different thread and while it is an idea I believe in I just think it is too soon to be "the big reveal" as it is too close to the Shap route.

I think as far as JT are concerned route wise, I think Preston-Crewe (maybe with the Liverpool spur included) would be next, it's shorter than Carlisle to Glasgow so should be less demanding of PCs & Consoles to run and would be another route that could take full advantage of their excellent 87 and upcoming 86.

As I said in that particular thread, Preston - Manchester via Bolton and Atherton/Wigan would finish me off but the run to Crewe would be a close second ;)

Over at Crewe in September Phil.
Bit of spotting and a visit to the the heritage centre.By the cafe, you can feel the weight of the the 390's pounding past, just to your left is the apt.
    It's incredibly busy around Crewe.
JT 's 87 is a work of art.Has to be the contender for best soundset on a locomotive in TSW.

    My Guesses:

TSW will be coming to iPhone / Android.

Another Festive type route which would not be exciting in my opinion. Didn’t even buy the last one they made.

I doubt this one but you never know and that’s Multiplayer reveal for TSW….. I hope not.

Now what would Mortal LIKE to see:
Honestly a surprise route they have kept quiet and has possibly been highly requested. That would be amazing.

    Concorde,
Brooklands that's the aircraft you see, near by where they built the vc10.Weybridge.And the hangers were used to film Flash Gordon.
Been ticking off the bucket list this year with my Wife.
Mega route, they exist in tsc don't they.
Bought in parts that all linked together .
That's what the young fella was working on,and upcoming part for Tsw.
I think as JT proved, if it's good it'll sell.

Only one I'm aware of,is ECML Kings Cross.
I know Discord usually gets more info, I'm only on this one, so interesting stuff gets missed.
I know games on your phone are big business, it's another possibility I'd not thought about.
    Thanks Mortal

I think the season of reveals has been really good so far.
Read a load of good threads about new locomotive and new routes.
The North London overground and the 86 and Cardiff have been real highlights for me so far.

Whilst I'm not setting my expectations super high, nor superlow, my curiosity is, rather then be an announcement for future content for the new year will it be a freebie or a paid DLC available on the day.

I'm pretty sure I heard Matt said the "team have put a lot of work into it... " In the last Roadmap stream. So certainly curious what it'll turn out to be... Funny enough it seems to have had no leaks much like the larger TSW content!

Oh and PS, certainly wouldn't expect it to be a locomotive like the Class 99 (or Flake locomotive as I call it!). It has no reference material to build from.

Always the favourite part of the journey when going up to the capital, especially in winter when there are no leaves on the trees so you can see it clearly.

In the space of 40 words, you managed to:

    - Display an attitude of entitlement
    - Criticise route length
    - Patronise the developer
    - Quote a negative stereotype
    - Associate the developer with said negative stereotype

It would be quite impressive, if it wasn't so repulsive. Think before you type

Well there's no possibility of my class 99,np data for it.
Steam is a lot to ask for, so I'd like it to happen, probably not.
Class 91 and Kings Cross would be a massive undertaking even for Dovetail.Possible though.
    What do you think Jay?
