I'm trying to get this to work on the microsoft store version - mods have worked for me in the past on this version is there a way to get this to work I placed the .pak in the route directory and nothing is happening sadly
I just spawned at New Street and watched the trains coming and going, wow. The PIS is working and accurate, my it can be done.
This looks fab! I hope at some point we are able to get third party timetables through creators club on consoles
I've been hoping to see something for BCC since the WCML was released, it's a shame it had to fall to the modders to pick up DTG's slack. But an excellent job nonetheless.
Yeah, and all the add ons again. Maybe if DTG finds a way to allow us to own the add ons across all platforms. Other than that, unfortunately not feasible.
Thanks kf5550. That pic looks awesome. Thanks Redbus. Thanks Agent Qracle RUS. Thanks Sharon. Had to add over 200 stations to the Station Directory for the PIS to work properly. Thanks Oo7 BELL 7oO. Thanks solicitr. Would definitely wait for a sale for Fife Circle.
An issue I have is that as I go to load the game, I select the Birmingham Cross City route then select the 2021 timetable but then it says the only trains that I can drive are 350s. To drive a 323 I have to spawn on foot then find a 323 to drive. Any ideas? I don't have the 158, 170, RHTT and 37 railtour so I fully appreciate that those layers won't work, but I'd expect the 323 to show up still.
Absolutely magnificent work. I would have been happy with some static 390s at BNS but this adds incredible life to the whole route. I also appreciate the shorter runs available for the 170s and 350, makes the route playable without needing the full hour for the 323 services. I notice Litchfield TV has class 350 workings on the mainline - have you added passing freight and Pendolino as well?
Or even as DLC addons. I'd pay a few quid for this, it looks fantastic and it's frustrating as a console user not being able to play it. Given that DTG have a) released a community mod (Mildmay), and b) released new timetables Surely this is possible? Stick it in the store for £5 or whatever, easy money.
Thank you so much for for your efforts here in bringing Birmingham to Life, fantastic! been train spotting at New street and Lichfield Trent valley... we truly have some fantastic modded TTs right now and look forward to hopefully many more "cough" midland mainline with those XC trains "cough" lol
Even DTG's ambassador's are streaming mod timetables now - us console players are feeling really left out. If you're not going to do it yourself, at least allow other people to distribute these things, it's so frustrating seeing what We Could Have Won.
Not to intentionally rub salt into the wombs of those console players but we just got v1.2 of the [OTS] WCML South (Winter 2019) Timetable which includes default FKA wagons with new FCA wagons from CLv3, along with northbound Southern services which are now drivable from Willesden Junction Relief Lines, adding up to 15 mins extra playtime to those services, happydays!
You know this isn't an official DTG mod? Also, what makes me laugh about all this is the console owners crying because they dont get the extra timetables etc….well its tough really. Stick with the consoles for CoD and the likes but get a PC for any games that you want the mods for!
I know it's not a DTG mod, my original post suggested that DTG should publish this as a third party mod, like they did with Mildmay. I don't have the space or money for a gaming PC, and even if I did, unless DTG do cross-platform licences, there would be no value in me changing. I of course realise consoles are less moddable than PCs - I don't mind missing out on advanced features, but if DTG won't do something as fundamental to the game as adding AI traffic at Birmingham New Street, it's frustrating that that's unavailable to x% of players. And I'm offering a solution.
As an example: I think the 2019 WCML timetable is a nice-to-have. I think this timetable, or something closed to it, is a must-have.
Thanks Tim. For medium length runs there are also services that start/end at BHM at the beginning and end of the day. Yes all services on the TVL are included. There is also freight services throughout the route as in real life. Thanks RichyRail. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks flukey. All that I can say is if it's not on the roadmap
Amazing mod! I spent some time at Birmingham yesterday. Its so busy and varied with all the different trains and 5 new liveries I think. Anyway, made a video showing all traffic passing trough from 3 locations. Hope you don't mind if I drop it in here. Anyway, plan for this evening, drop a train at one end of the route, and drive to the other end.
Thanks Rudy. Glad you are enjoying it. Definitely do not mind. I have just started watching and it looks awesome.
You’re comparing apples and pears. Do you know that the creator of the Cross City TT wants to monetise it? Johannes was busy recreating the whole of London on TSW before the Mildmay line was picked by DTG. His interest started out as a uni project iirc. Generally the mods created are by peeps who are by and large, enthusiasts that are finishing off what DTG couldn’t be bothered to do in the first place! Enjoy whatever content & format you play on!
Thanks Tom. Just finished watching and it looked amazing. Thrilled people finally get to drive my timetable. As you said there is freight but I have not made any of them playable. I will take a look and might add a couple in a future update. If you are looking for freight they pass through Bromsgrove before heading up the hill at 0:05, 4:16, 5:49, 6:53, 10:50,18:51 and through Kings Norton at 4:45, 6:12, 12:22, 19:21, 19:23, 20:33, 21:06, 23:21. Freight is also present on 2 other sections of the route but I'll leave everyone to discovery them. The TfW 158 is my own and isn't a faithful recreation as the East Midlands 158 is a pain to reskin. They generally depart New Street at :24 and :36. Finally wanted to say a huge Thank You for your Scenario Creation tutorials. I would have never been able to do my scenarios for my other timetable without it.
This is fantastic. BCC was a route with so much potential and it is finally realised. Much more playability and New Street finally isn't a ghost town!
Thank you for the info, good to know what to look out for Also its great to know my tutorials have been of use, they were not fantastic to say the least because of how janky the editor was at the time of recording. But its great to hear they have helped! Look forward to venturing further on this well done
