Constructed by Plasser & Theurer in the late 1990s & early 2000s, 32 of these units were built for Railtrack to replace their aging fleet of track recording trains, which still included Mk2's and locos such as the Class 31. These can be found all across the UK rail network, operating track inspection services as well as some RHTT workings out of places such as the depot at Kings Norton, on the Cross City line route. On the Cross City route itself, they would replace most of the 66s on RHTT workings, with most services having a 50/50 chance of being an MPV or an RHTT 66, depending on what DLC the player owns. It's quite difficult to find any data on their performance anywhere so this section is mainly guesswork, but I believe that they have a top speed of 60mph. As well as finding use on the RHTT trains, they can also be used for weedkilling and controlling lineside vegetation and de-icing the rails during winter.
