With WMR planning to reopen the Camp Hill Line at the end of this year to passenger trains, I think it would be a prudent move to work on a rebuild/extension of Birmingham Cross City to include the line in the same manner as the upcoming Leven Branch for Fife Circle Line. At the same time it would be nice to finally get Soho depot included as well for Class 323 ECS moves. A reworked Class 170 Turbostar in WMR livery would also be required for the Camp Hill Line.
Maybe chuck in Walsall as well. I would say Coventry and Wolverhampton too but that’s a bit on the large scale for a LIRR style rebuild.
I'd say if we were to get that line, you may as well extend to Worcestershire Parkway (that's only when we get the debut of XC.
Personally I would rather get a 196 which are now extremely commonly found on the line now than another turbostar which aren't even operated by WMR as all of their sets have left elsewhere
