Introduction This route will take approximately an hour and 30 minutes to drive end to end with a huge variety of services and layers to make UK routes have a bit more to see in terms of rolling stock in a single route like in the German routes. It will be a relatively long route which there also isn't a lot of with UK routes approximately 100 miles. This could come as a route in the future of TSW 6 or more than likely a core route with gameplay packs. Please note anything mentioning tsw 6 is purely speculation and sugestions and not fact. Stations Birmingham new street (route hopping hub) Smethwick rolfe Street Smethwick gallon Bridge (posible route hopping hub in future) Sandwell and dudley Dudley port Tipton Closely Wolverhampton Stafford Crewe Wimslow Stockport Manchester picadilly (route hopping hub) Train This route will come with a singular train which will be cross country's 170 (which is going to be brought to us by rivet games in 0-3 months Layers playable This is where I believe this route will stand out from others as there are many layers that can be added into this (if I have missed any that could be added please let me know) Class 390 pendolino operating all the way from new street to manchester picadilly in addition to partially playable services to Blackpool North. Class 350 operating a large variety of services including New street to Crewe Walsall to wolverhampton (partially playable) New street to Liverpool lime Street (partially playable ECS moves to soho depot Class 323 (northern) services between Manchester picadilly and crewe Class 323 and 170 (WMR) ECS move to soho depot Railtours originating from Crewe works Class 08 Crewe shunting Class 150 tfw between new street and Wolverhampton going to various locations in Wales. 220/221 Loco add on with TSW 6 (See below) Class 66 freight and RHTT 37 ROG Unplayable services 390 pendolino in new street going to unreachable locations 323 birmingham new street going to unreachable locations 350 birmingham new street and Manchester unreachable locations 220 unreachable locations Railtour static stock in Crewe Class 08 static shunter 323 (northern) Manchester picadilly unreachable locations 158 (emr) Manchester picadilly unreachable locations) 150 tfw new street and Manchester picadilly unreachable locations 22X locos to unreachable locations e.g., Manchester picadily; 22X loco pack An additional loco pack will be available for this which will incorporate the voyagers into the route similar to what is seen with the 390 in tsw5 TOO MUCH MANCHESTER! Yes i agree we have too much manchester... which is why i now think this route may be cut of at crewe as seen in the discussions below. this gives good lenght and variety still however cuts out a section that is already in the game on both glossop line and manchester airport commuter. Possible MAC Expansion The expansion of manchester airport commuter to Crewe in TSW 6 will allow players to make use of route hopping to continue XC services from crewe to manchester picadilly so that it still feels like a complete route.
instant buy... nice length, even if not full, I like the rolling stock, nice ... what are the average speeds?
key features to expand further on this the average speed on this route ranges between 70 and 90 mph and passes through multiple major cities and rail hubs where route hopping can be applied, due to the multiple operators running routes on this stretch there is a large amount of variety from DMU's to EMU's which provide slightly different driving experiences. The scenery is constantly changing from city skylines to vast countryside as you travel through the route with a lot to see. Gameplay opportunities commuter focused gameplay tight schedule with a packed timetable both long distance and short distance services with different playtimes highly requested soho depot scenarios Signal failure: Transport an engineer in the cab of a 66 to Crewe where there has been a signal failure. You will need to contact signallers to arrange to switch tracks to divert around commuter services queued in a huge delay. Festival Express: Transport passengers from Manchester to Birmingham for a music festival, dealing with increased passengers and potential delays. Farewell tour: Operate the class 323 from Birmingham to Crewe on a leg of its farewell tour, be sure to use your horn when passing enthusiasts to gain extra points. Overnight freight: transport a freight train from Birmingham to Crewe works during nightfall, however a surprise hits at Wolverhampton when another freight train is in need of being rescued ahead. Mastery reward action in the Crewe heritage centre (Minatare railway in operation and APT.
Isn't a portion of this coming with Alan Thomson sim? Could be difficult to pass LAMPOIL if there is duplication with MAN in 3 times
That is very true we are more likely to get an even shortened version like new street to Crewe. We definitely need a route that passes through birmingham regardless as thar area that's already in the game could do with a few updates whether it's to BCC or a new route
Quick update the unannounced UK route teaser showed Crewe as a station on the upcoming (later down the tracks) all aboard studio, its a long shot saying it could be this as there are a lot of routes (and time zones) encorporating Crewe Station. However my guess is that it would be a modern route as there is already an old style Crewe and new street is much overdue an upgrade. If this is the route instant buy
What era would this be set in ? XC trains I can see from Birmingham to Manchester call at Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke-On-Trent, Macclesfield, Stockport and Manchester Piccadilly. The other stations you mentioned except Crewe and Wilmslow are WMT. Would buy it.
The xc trains would become ai after a certain point it would be the other mentioned layers that would stop at Crewe It's seen in a few routes. I would say modern day maybe 2024 before the 730s where introduced as they're unlikely to come to game because of licensing so the 350 would be layering in instead.
Nice suggestion! Although I'm not always a fan of long-distance routes myself, I do like the idea of having a route between major cities. It could even become a route from Manchester to London. If they ever give the current WCML extension to Birmingham New Street instead of (Milton Keynes)
They won’t do this. It’s already hard enough running the route as it stands, never mind with an extension to Birmingham. And no route has ever gone that distance before in TSW.
Yeah this is definitely the case which is why I suggested a more condensed version of new street to Crewe above.
The ATP train looks like a future train out of Cyberpunk or Judge Dredd, they could put in a movie as a future train and people would buy into it.
I think they should just expand MAC from elderly edge to where you desire and add a couple DLCs. I would happily buy all the DLCs if it was that case.
I’d definitely say there’s a case to extend it to Crewe atleast but, I do understand how much of a complex undertaking that would be but here’s to being hopeful that it would be done in the future. It would really bring it to life alongside some class 331 and 195. As it stands, Crewe would probably be one of the busiest stations in TSW in terms of genuine representation with the likes of class 390s, 807s, 805s (801 as stand in with custom formations ideally) and 350s. Side note, I really do like this suggestion, the only barrier would be the lack of licensing from CrossCountry because they’re very reluctant to do so which would be a shame as they’re one of the main services on this route.
XC licence acquired... could this become a tsw 6 route in some form...maybe I would expect the 220/1 to come as a loco pack as the 390 did (just speculation though not fact) . Please note i have updated the initial suggestion at the top of the fourum to adapt to everyones thoughts and the new news
