A fantastic addition to the Tees Valley Line, would be adding an extension of the Tees Valley Line, to Boulby Potash Mine, this would allow BR Blue freights to run beyond Saltburn and there are several disused stations on the way, such as Brotton Station with platforms in situ (now a Auto repair centre), Loftus station building is still there. The line goes up towards Skinningrove Tata Steel (formerly British Steel) which is where the token is collected to Loftus and through Grinkle Tunnel. The line is still in use today and is single track in places. Loco's on the route in the 1980-1990's included: Class 20 units (commonly seen operating in pairs) Class 31 Class 37 Plus other Trains I would like to see the route extended to Whitby or Bishop Auckland.
