I was suddenly getting no sound from TSC. Checked all the threads, suspended AV, checked the sound settings in Windows, verified files and eventually uninstalled and re installed. At that point I got sound to work via headphones but not my speakers, which is where I am now. Following s strange piece of anecdotal advice I started a You Tube video running and started the game. Tested twice so far and it seems to bring sound to TCS through the speakers! Has anyone else had this? I can live with it but not sure what has happened as very few sound options in TSC - Windows is set to make TSC use the default, which it does but only if something else already using it.
On one hand, no. My TSC always succeeds with picking up the sound output. Switching on the other hand is complicated. The absolute nasty is Bluetooth, because it's a protocol reset. Browser / YouTube handles it but I've not a single other app that does. Switching on my laptop between speakers and headphones usually work. It might also work when switching between the motherboard output and those on the desktop case as long as they are both wave outs. You may also have a strange output frequency or other setting. On top of my head, you could set 24bit 192kHz which may not work.
