The expanded timetable for the Bakerloo Line has been on the roadmap since the first one, how far along is it in development? Is it still coming? The Bakerloo Line definitely needs more services, it feels kinda deserted at the moment with no other trains passing by. It would be nice to see the real timetable in the game.
Educated guess time. This is more likely to be removed from the roadmap than to be released. The fact that it is still in the ‘In Planning’ stage might be a strong indication of that. My guess is that they will not be able to get it to work well enough in a dev build and it will never make it to production. There will be far too many opportunities for the dispatcher to get all mixed up and the network will grind to a stop. Total gridlock. One train permanently stuck at a red signal and that will happen within half an hour. Now, if they are working on improvements to the dispatcher that prevent that from happening then we might be in with a chance of it coming but it might still be a while off yet. Any improvement to the dispatcher that will free up a train stuck at a signal will help all content in the long run, so that would be beneficial. Without dispatcher improvements I can’t see it happening.
I asked Matt about this on a stream a while ago and he said it wasn’t coming soon as it requires an update to the core software and dispatcher to get it to work. He said the timetable itself was all ready to go. My guesstimate would be maybe around the yearly update next August. That’s if, as Stujoy said, it comes at all.
I think BKL has more than enough services as it is, because they're all with the same train. I'd much rather have the missing layers on HMA become available
Personally the only thing they can improve on the line is realistic signals so instead of going green while you close the door even if the front block isn’t occupied it should behave like in reality so always green when no train is in front of you
I was starting to think that. It’s been in that same exact spot on the Roadmap since the first one. I am worried we won’t see the full BKL timetable in this lifetime.
I’d say it needs it to make it lifelike. The BKL does actually have more services than that and looks much more busy with trains coming every 3-5 mins.
That probably is the issue but you would think they would get it all sorted by now espicially if the line took a long time to build. So much for realistic timetable
Yes it has a lot of services but there are only 9 trains running on the route which makes it feel dead at times when the next train to arrive at a station is in around 20 minutes compared to every three minutes in real life. Not to mention the lack of passengers at stations. I hope we do get the extra services soon. The extra trains that would add more services in the route are inside London Road Depot and Stonebridge Park Depot, but they don't move
If it was going to be a dlc, I don't think that would be fair to the customer to pay for extra services after they said that they were working on adding the extra services
I don’t think people will pay for more timetable as not many players completed half of any services on each routes
And maybe if we had the extra services more passengers would turn up to use them. Therefor would solve two problems in one go. Lol
