i been figuring out how to make holes in the landscape by making invisibility mask but when i apply the meatal on landscape there big box around the area i applied the hole in ground.
I have that with one of my landscape layers. Something in that one layer of the material was off, but if I painted another layer first, then did the problematic layer at .99 strength, that was enough to Make it look practically the same and still behave itself. It's kind of hackey, but something to try if you can't narrow down the problem with that layer.
ok. i also just made a ground material following this tutorialhttps://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/how-to-paint-texture-terrain-using-materials.77914/ and want creating landscape the ground is black and when using the paint tool the ground texture shows or remove the black areas i'm painting
I'm not really sure what else to recommend, then, other than that brush strength trick I mentioned with the brush tool. As for the landscape material, I think maybe the UV co-ordinates being of the wrong type is one thing that can cause the texture to be black. I think there's youtube tutorials about landscape materials that can help you, since the PC Editor seems to just use UE4's standard setup for them. Sorry I can't be more help!
