Route is not showing on Xbox store. And on a side note, neither is the Class 52 loco DLC for West Somerset Railway either.

 

Search for Blackpool on Xbox store and it should come up, that’s how I got it.

 

Route didn't download properly the first time and didn't show up in game. I'm trying to redownload it currently

 

By far the best route I have ever played on TSW period. This route looks like a real world route with an amazing amount of detail, its staggering, The sound, the locos etc, the detail. Clutter everywhere. It has a lovely feel to it. DTG these guys have upped the ante. Well done Just Trains. Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant!

 

Just Trains, if you do read this, I have noticed it worse when driving the orange 142 it seems to make the route choppy in places (ps4 Pro), but its seems to be ok when driving the other 142s, but I will say, this is the best route I have ever played.

EDIT. Its only happening whilst leaving Blackpool North and entering, near to where the Class 47 is usually stationed in the sidings, its seems worse when leaving Blackpool North than entering it. But the frame rate does get very very choppy either way

 

Absolutely FANTASTIC route. A massive congrats to JT for this banger. Class route. Detail is superb. Loving how there is so much going on.
Only one thing from me is haptics on PS5 missing the AWS not playing through the speaker, but apart from that, I’m blown away.

 

Done about 6 services today + a scenario and 2 tutorials and a route intro, having a lot of fun and enjoyment with this add-on, i would completely recommend it.

 

Achievements for Xbox aren't tracking

 

The 40 services achievement I can confirm works. The 142 miles achievement has been flagged. The complete all scenarios achievement also appears to work too.

 

Just Trains have done a cracking job on this route lets hope they can replicate the quality on their next one

Nicely done and I like it even though I am prefering modern day routes.

 

Played a load more today and am discovering so many cool features and additions. Loving the route. Still some micro stutters on the pacer between Poulton and Blackpool North in both directions but that’s nothing to take away from the route itself. Fabulous work.

 

Any plans to fix this same issue on MML and the Island Line 2022 (or ask the relevent third party developers to)? It's really frustrating to put the effort in to earn these, only to be be denied the reward!

 

Just to inform players the passenger system has issues. See below.

 

I have noticed the when you start a class 31 service at Blackpool North it puts you in the wrong cab.

 

Question. Why the Branch line to Preston port wasn't implemented in the game? I'm just curious as of why and what reason.

 

development time, can’t just keep adding every extension, if you get A you could go to B then CDEFGHIJKL and on and on, not everything can be done no matter how small or close or short or big or far or long.

it’s the same reason London wasnt added, yep it connects doesn’t mean it’s coming and it’s not entirely because of its distance.

 

I am amazed just how far you can walk around Preston Station, both inside and outside side on both sides of the Station, the attention to detail is incredible. Definitely the best route released for TSW so far. Well done Just Trains.

 

By far the best route in the game Just Trains deserve alot of credit for the work they've put in you can see how much time and effort they've put into it I look forward to seeing what there next route is

 

Blackpool branches need to upgraded to latest version of Blackpool branches
Poulton le fylde to burn naze not longer opened it was closed in 1970 Preston to Blackpool line was upgraded in 2018 to electrify the line from Preston to Blackpool north
Kirkham and wesham had new second platform added in 2018 and from kirkham wesham to Blackpool south now second line to the single line to moss side and Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station added in 1989 and osmirk got single platform now

Agreed. Of all the routes I own it's still in a league of its own for me, absolutely class effort from Just Trains.

There's still just something really joyful about bouncing along the line in the Pacer.

 

It's still my favourite route by a long shot.

 

BPO is my most played route and the 142 Pacer is my most played loco.
Maybe I play the route and with the train so much because I was around 142s a lot from July last year until May this year.
JT did a fantastic job with the route and the trains involved.

 

I love trainspotting at Preston, seeing what turns up. Can't wait to do the same at Carlisle or Lancaster.

 

This route should be the gold standard going forward

 

When I first got TSW back in 2019 and bought the Trans Pennine route, I naively expected Manchester Victoria to be as busy as Preston is in the Blackpool route. I put the fact that it wasn't down to the limitations of the core game. It's now clear that it's not software limitations that limit the timetable, it's down to the amount of time and dedication that the route builder spends on it. Just Trains have demonstrated that a good timetable makes a route come alive and a poor one produces a route with little incentive to return to.

 

Let's be honest, If NTP came out today, it would be done by Just Trains, probably carry on to York or Liverpool and feature the 40,45,47,08,101, at least.

Hell if the route is remastered I expect the 31 will be ported over. Or bump it forward a couple of years and include the 142 as well.

 

Just Trains Blackpool Branches still is the most comprehensive, detailed route we have in TSW, it was followed by the very good DTG London Overground Route... and then things went downhill... Fife still is sloppy and unfinished and WCMLs seems to have fallen very short of players expectations.

 

and possibly the 37 & 20 as well. I recently revisited NTP and it was like I went back in time to the original TSW days

 

They did do a great job, it may well be a year old, but still by far the most detailed and comprehensive route in the game. I hope that doesn't last too much longer with WCML on the way though. That will be a spectacle.

 

The supposed involvement of Rivet in WCMLS and their work on Fife is no coincidence. We know that DTG in house team smashed the Goblin route, shame their contracted third parties aren’t as thorough

 

It's time for DTG to cut ties with Rivet there routes recently have been appalling and just left with no updates it's just not on especially when people are getting charged full price for a route that's unfinished

 

without a doubt, Over Shap will be the best route until the next JT route! A Mix of 87, 47, 40, 45, 101 & 142 will be amazing as well as the chance to drive several Jubilee-hauled railtours which will include trying not to stall on Shap! I'm going to put several hours into this route!

Not to forget about the upcoming Loco DLC as well!

 

I did think about including them but they are Sectorisation era locos, but put them in BR colours similar to what happened to the Western for Diesel Legends and absolutely.

 

agreed.. I did mention this recently but was then reminded that not all of Rivet's routes have been flops

 

I know the 87s won't be layered into Blackpool Branches from day one but that in itself isn't an issue for me as it's already so busy with AI traffic and they plan on layering them in at a later date. But I'll still play it for sure.

 

ok.. when in the 80s is NTP set? I know TVL is 1988/89 based off a detail added to the steel wagon I noticed when the route came out

 

Agreed, both will be a regular fixture for me. I must admit between MML and BPO they have made me enjoy a slow drive in a DMU on the occasion, so Blackpool won't be forgotten.

 

I believe JT have said they are overhauling the timetable on Blackpool Branches to allow for locomotive changes at Preston when certain diesel-hauled trains are replaced with electric and vise versa

As much as I enjoy thrashing a HST down the MML, my first choice on is often the "Ivanhoe" stopping service between Leicester and Nottingham. As a passenger who frequently travels between the two cities I often choose the stopping service if I'm by myself, just sit and relax and watch the world trundle by

Like I say I don't mind them now and again, but I have always worked on the IC side of the railways and so it is what I enjoy most in TSW too. Must say have had many happy journeys getting back home from football on those services, along with the fair share of frustrated ones!
