In Blender, I'm creating a building for Railworks. How can I make signs and windows light up at night, but also react to sunlight in the daytime?
This may help ... Day / Night Lighting Effects Some building types require a night-time effect, to simulate the lights being switched on at dusk. This is done through node names where the node names themselves will dictate whether they are visible in the day or at night. · Node names ending with “fx_night” will only be drawn at night. · Node names ending with “fx_day” will only be rendered in the day. Make two copies of your sign. The daytime version using regular shaders like TrainBasicObjectDiffuse And the other using an emissive shader like TrainEmissiveGlow or AddATex Give them the names above, eg 1_1000_fx_night, and 1_1000_fx_day
Hi so if my building name is Building for the night time version or day will it be Building_fx_day another thing when I try to export it keeps showing this do you know why that is
I wouldn't make two copies of the entire building. Just make a day and night version of the signs and windows. See Dev Docs 4.04 Section 5 I think you may have the wrong version of Briage. It looks like you are using Blender 4.1. Try the BRIAGE 4.11 Package here
