Cajon Pass is a very popular route in TSW3. However, I think a few more locos could be added for local and yard operations. I'm also including a few mainline locos and, of course, a number of new pieces of rolling stock. Here are my ideas. -Mainline Power: -BNSF C44-9W: I don't know why we haven't gotten a BNSF Dash-9 in TSW3 yet. BNSF rosters a lot of C44-9Ws (over 1700 of them, including 100 from ATSF) Liveries would include BNSF Patched Warbonnet, H2, H3, and maybe older H1. The BNSF C44-9W pack could also include BNSF's rebuilt AC44C4Ms. -BNSF ET44C4/ET44C6H: BNSF rosters 275 ET44C4s that are Tier 4 versions of the ES44C4 already in the game. BNSF just ordered 25 new ET44C6Hs from Wabtec; these locos are ET44s with 6 traction motors and are ballasted for higher tractive effort (like the CSX ES44AHs). -BNSF ES44AC/ES44C6H/ES44DC: BNSF is one of the largest users of GEVOs in the US. They roster over 700 of each of the ES44ACs and ES44DCs. Plus, BNSF has recently ordered 25 new ES44C6Hs (ES44ACs with heavier ballasting like the CSX ES44AHs). -Optional Layer: Amtrak P42DCs and/or Siemens ALC-42 Chargers: I'd like to see an Amtrak SW Chief passenger consist layered on Cajon Pass with either the older Amtrak P42DCs or the new ALC-42 Chargers. These passenger locos could also be seen on other US routes (Sand Patch, HSC, etc.) -Excursion Train Power: -Santa Fe 4-8-4 #3751: ATSF #3751 is a restored 4-8-4 steam locomotive that is currently stored in San Bernardino, CA. #3751 occasionally runs excursion trains. #3751 in my opinion is needed for Cajon. Players could recreate some of her excursion trains, just like with Flying Scotsman in the upcoming ECML route in TSW4. An ATSF #3751 Pack could also include an ATSF FP45, BNSF C44-9W, and/or Amtrak P42DC (all 3 locos served in excursion service alongside ATSF #3751). -Yard/Local Power: -BNSF GP60-series: BNSF rosters 3 versions of EMD's GP60-series diesel locos that were originally owned by ATSF. These are the Spartan-Cab GP60s, the Wide-Cab GP60Ms (now rebuilt as GP60M-3s), and the cabless GP60Bs. Liveries for the locos in this pack would include ATSF/BNSF Patched Blue/Yellow and BNSF H3 GP60s and ATSF/BNSF Patched Superfleet Warbonnet and H3 GP60Ms/GP60Bs. H2 and H1 GP60Ms/Bs could be included as well. -BNSF GP50/GP25: BNSF rosters GP50s that are ex-ATSF and ex-BN. Some of these were rebuilt as GP25s in 2006. Liveries for these locos would include BN/BNSF Patched and H3. -BNSF B40-8W: BNSF currently rosters 60 of these ex-ATSF 4-axle GEs. They were originally part of ATSF's "Superfleet" program and handled high-speed intermodal trains along side ATSF's GP60s and GP50s. Now, these veteran diesels have been undergoing rebuilding for use as yard and local power for BNSF. Some of BNSF's original 83 B40-8Ws were sold to shortline railroads. Liveries for these locos would include ATSF/BNSF Patched Warbonnet and BNSF H1, H2, and H3. -BNSF GP39-3s: These locos are ex-BN and ex-ATSF GP30s and GP35s. In the 1990s, BN rebuilt a bunch of their GP30 and GP35 locos with upgraded electronic systems and new prime movers. The GP30 rebuilds were done by VMV (GP39V), EMD (GP39E), and Morrison-Knudsen (GP39M). Some of the ex-GN/NP/CB&Q/GN GP30s kept their original GP30 design, but some had new cabs and body styling. BNSF again rebuilt these ex-BN GP39s into GP39-3s. Liveries for these rebuilds would include BN/BNSF Patched and H3 paint. -Rolling Stock: -BNSF and UP Cement Hoppers -More Intermodal Well Cars -Steel Coil Cars -Amtrak Superliner Cars -Excursion Passenger Cars for ATSF #3751 -Other possible loco ideas: -BNSF/ex-ATSF Patched SD75M/SD75I -BNSF/ex-BN Patched SD70MAC -BNSF/ex-BN Patched SD60M -BNSF/ex-ATSF Patched GP40X -BNSF/ex-BN Patched GP28-2/M/P (ex-BN/GN/NP GP7s/GP9s/GP18s) -BNSF SD40-2Rs and SD32ECOs (rebuilt SD45-2s) Most likely, we would get the GP60-series pack, the C44-9W pack, and maybe the B40-8W pack. ATSF #3751 is a loco I really want to see in game.
