Before I start talking about the suggestion. I'm fully aware about stuff regarding certain licensing as well as U.S. freight content being on hiatus. But DTG might get lucky at one point. Anyways, lets get started.
In todays route suggestion. I suggest that the BNSF Mendota Sub in Illinois be added to TSW. Now lets get into the route.

The BNSF Mendota Subdivision runs between Chicago and Galesburg Illinois along the old route of the former Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q). This line has many scenic areas going west from Princeton towards Galesburg. Trains that run this line include many coal trains, sand trains, mixed freights, some intermodal, and 8 daily Amtrak trains. The Amtrak services mainly consist of Amtrak's SW Chief, California Zephyr, Illinois Zephyr, and the Carl Sandburg. I suggest the Princeton to Galesburg stretch mainly because of distance since the full route is not only too long but also because of Metra licensing. Now with that, here are the locomotives and rolling stock that should be included with the route.

Rolling stock should consist of the following.

    Amtrak Horizon Cars

    Amtrak Amfleet coaches

New container cars including 40 ft articulated ones.

As for other freight rolling stock, that can be recycled from Cajon Pass in my opinion. As for seperate add-ons. The SD70MAC would be great as a seperate add-on as well as the SC-44 Charger. Now this route would be a great one since its only 50 miles and licensing won't be a problem since DTG already has BNSF and Amtrak licensing.

Could you give some more detail on what makes the route unique?
Landmarks, stuff to do, industries on the line, any new features might be added?
I see the freight, but is there any passenger traffic to sell to the non-freight people?
You list AMTRAK trains, but are there many stations on the line?
In essence... what makes this different than other routes already in game or any other average US freight route?

More BNSF? Yes, please! We should also get Amtrak ALC-42 and SC44 Chargers, BNSF ET44s, ex-BN GP39Es/Ms/Vs/GP39-3s, ex-BN and ATSF GP50s, SD70MACs, SD60M-3s, and GP60s/GP60Bs, along with the GP60M(-3s).
