Hello everyone, you might be a little puzzled I'm posting about an engine that has been added to the game already, but I want to point a certain feature that I saw on a previous thread that someone else had posted. But lets get into what I'm wanting to say here, the BNSF SD70ACe is a great addon but the one thing I want to point out is something that makes things a little more realistic. Down below is a picture of the engine from the game.

If you look closely below the cab windows, you will notice how there's a straight line indent below the cab window. It's part of the design, but this is mainly common the earlier versions of the SD70ACe. Unfortunately though the older designs had a flaw, that flaw being the cab design. It didn't come with noise isolation which led to train crews nicknaming them "Thunder Cabs" due to the excessive amount of vibrating and rattling noises that they produced while running. CSX bought the earlier cab designs but sent them back to EMD after getting numerous complaints from crews. On the other hand other railroads keep there units in service despite the issue, but BNSF's thunder cab units were eventually banned from leading trains after getting tons of complaints from crew members, as a result they were never equipped with Positive Train Control. I've always seen thunder cabs as trailing units, but in one rare instance I got to see one leading a local train. But I've heard that its usually done in the event of power shortages. EMD continued to produce SD70ACe units but the later versions were given a proper noise isolation feature for the cab. These engines have one key difference from the Thunder Cab versions.

In this picture we have a later version of a BNSF SD70ACe that has a noise isolation feature for the cab. If you look closely, there's a zig zag indent on the side of the cab below the window, these are the seams that help isolate the cab from all of the rattling and vibrations. These SD70ACe units were equipped with Positive Train Control, as a result they can be seen leading trains anywhere on BNSF's entire network.
This would be a great change to this version because it makes things feel a little more realistic. Anyways thats all I need to say.

Hello in the round, someone can tell me where I can find the ACSES and ATC in this locomotive. I can't find it anywhere. They are not in the control box. I've tried everything

In the SD70Ace? The Safety systems "ACSES and ATC" = No Such Animal...
Alerter = Yes, use NumPad_Enter+Shift or the Alerter Switch.

I think that's very strange. The game tells me to turn on the ACSES and ATC security systems to get extra points. Is this supposed to be a bug playing on the ps5

Not on the SD70Ace which is a US freight train, the ACSES is on the Boston trains, you know, MBTA.

BNSF also rosters 20 SD70ACe-P4s. These have only four traction motors similar to their massive roster of ES44C4s an ET44C4s. The SD70ACe-P4 has the axles closest to the fuel tank unpowered (B1-1B wheel arrangement), unlike the ES44C4 and ET44C4 which have the center axle unpowered (A1A-A1A wheel arrangement). The BNSF SD70ACe-P4s are numbered #8500-8519. Perhaps these could also be included in a BNSF SD70ACe enhancement pack.

This is a Suggestion thread, you should create a post in TSW General Discussion, Stay below the speed limit by at least 1 to 5 mph, and always use safety systems.
