Indeed. This issue plagues PC Steam players as well, and was introduced in TSW4.

 

has anyone found a way to fix it? I find it quite annoying.

 

Only workaround is to go to an outside camera and then back into the driver camera. It updates then. Do this every time you hear it beep.

While it is true that you can just press 1 without going to the outside camera, it will cause your seat to become impassable, rendering your driver's side cab door unusable.
