Took the Boston MBTA yesterday on the Green Line and Bus Fare for the Green line was $2.40 (2.35€) for 6 people including my Mum was $14.40(14.11€). MBTA Bus allows free ride While the NYC MTA Subway and Bus including the Parallel Bee Line Bus Along the Harlem Line $16.50 (16.17€) due to the base fare being $2.75 (2.69-2.70€) using Metrocard/OMNY. My Question is this HMA Bahnland Bayern MVV Riesa-Dresden VVO RSN RRO HRR Schnellfahrstrecke Köln Aachen NRW Tariff VRR VRS AVV Germany match the MBTA Fares and MTA NYC including Bee Line Bus Westchester County fares?
It depends of the distance travelled. Usually the german transportation companies use a zone system with a pattern in order to determine their prices. At the moment this is suspended due to the 9€ ticket, aside of that there is quite a difference between the cities. I've not seen such ticket prices as you described in the recent years anywhere here. In my home town a single zone ticket is at about 2,80€ for one ride for example. In the former DDR usually it's a bit cheaper (maybe about 2,20€ - 2,50€). My examples are only of smaller towns though. I remember a one stop subway ride in Munich being far more expensive some years ago but since I use the car for all trips outside my living area and usually bypass our bigger cities I'm not really capable of providing more detailed input...
