    Hey all,

In anticipation of the Boston - Worcester Route, I bought the NJT Transit route to use the Multilevel Bombardier Coaches/Cab Car with the MBTA F40PH-3C. Operating the train works normally when heading forward with the engine. When I try to do cab car forward runs, I get stuck and cannot get the train to drive. I put the brakes "cut-in", set the reverser forward, decreased the brake, and increased the throttle. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything inside the main engine that I need to do.

I've already tried going into the engine and flicking the engine run, generator field, and fuel pump switches on. Additionally, I put the engine into "short hood trail" mode. None of these worked to get the cab car forward to drive.

I am not that experienced in knowing the process of all of the controls, but I simply followed some of the steps that you'd normally see in the tutorials.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
    - Luke

Haven’t tried this but do you think it could something to do with the 2 different types of braking they use? The F40 and CTC-3 Cab car use standard braking while the NJT Multi-levels use a lapping braking system. That’s my guess atleast.
My guess would be to use the F40 as the locomotive and a CTC-3 Cab car on the end and Multi-levels (cars, not cab cars) in between the consist.

Also, when your using the cab car are you setting the locomotives cut-off valve to “off” and MU-2A valve to “Trail 24 or 25”?

It might be so. I could use the CTC cab car at the end. It would've been cool to use the multilevel forward, but I can see why it might not work for two different routes.

Also, I have kept the locomotive on cut-off and Trail 24/25. I can keep playing with it to see if it will work somehow, if not I'll just wait until the new DLC.

    Thanks.

Well after doing some tests it’s weird because the CTC-3 Cab Car works with an Amtrak ACS-64. So I’m guessing it’s something to do with how the Multi-level is programmed or that it doesn’t work because it’s used for electric trains and has a pantograph option. Given the fact that NY - Trenton seems like it was rushed, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Multi-levels weren’t coded thoroughly.

Interesting. Likewise, I just tried the cab car with the ACS-64 and I got nothing from it. Could very well be a bug that should be fixed.

Thank you for the effort though.
