In the Dovetail Live article Creating Northeast Corridor - Boston - Providence, it talks about the big balloon loop in the yard and how Amtrak trains reverse out of South Station to turn the train around. Then on top of that, they say; "That’s really unique, and it will be in there for the players to do. It’s something I’m really looking forward to seeing in the game." Yes, I am aware that they are in fact in the timetable, and you can spawn on foot to operate these services, however, they are intended to be selectable in the timetable menu. In the following Boston Sprinter Preview Stream; Matt Peddlesden starts explaining the issue starting at the 13:45 mark. Here's a summary of what was said; - The issue of Amtrak Depot & Turnaround services was picked up late, and the fix wouldn't make initial release. - At about 14:55, he mentions that he hopes to get the timetable update/fix released at the same time as the Catenary Patch from Brandon. - At 15:40, Natalie asks Matt when everyone can expect this update, which Matt replies that the wait won't be long. The Catenary Patch for Boston Sprinter was released on October 5th. This patch did not include the Amtrak Turnaround services. In addition, the next update for Boston Sprinter, released the same day that this forum post was made, on October 27th, also did not include the fix. So I ask, what's going on with this? It's almost November, and Boston Sprinter was released in August. There were already two patches that could've included the fix.
I agree they should have been added by now but personally after performing that loop a couple of times within the scenarios/journey i never want to voluntarily do it again
Haha yeah, once was enough for me. It's one of those things like a Channel Tunnel route, the first 5 minutes are "oh wow this is a different experience", followed by what feels like an hour of boredom and "this is not as fun as I expected".
