I think what's best to do right now is update the sounds of the Taurus. It's one of the most legendary Locomotive in all of Europe. The Sound right now in Train sim world is absolutely horrible since it's just synthesized so it would be pretty good that it will be recorded in an ACTUAL Taurus. DTG has already done a pretty good joob at the Vectron, so they could surely record a Taurus.
Absolutely agree! such an update is certain very welcome Even when recording isn't possible, there are plenty of other options. three times the same basic sounds in multiple livery version's is really not necessary. Hopefully before a second Austrian route emerges ÖBB 1116 RWA Railjet Advanced BR 143, 185/146/2 can also be better, but the Taurus is in much worse condition
The solution is using Austrian 1016/1116 as sound source and then using them to remake all 182 DB Traffic Red Yellow Dispolok Black MRCE not the otherway around using RT182 for Austrian 1116/1016
You're right! It still doesn't exactly sound like the real thing but the horn, musical scales, etc. are definitely an improvement. Now, if only these changes were to be applied on the RPD and the HBK Br 182...
Rapid transit is very unlikely. First it's a really old dlc so you couldn't just copy and paste new sound. Which is why the talent 2 doesn't sound like the ska version. Sounds are tied to physics so it will likely require a physics update which might mean remaking the locomotive. Hbl is more likely but it still needs some sort of physics update like the dispolok
To be completely honest, Im still not satisfied with the Sound update. The Musical Scale and the horn sounds better than before, but the other stuff still sounds horrible. It sounds unrealistic and the sound just cuts off after about 120 km/h.
I mean DTG are getting better with recording sounds from the real trains (as proved by the Vectron, the F125/Rotem Cab Car, the Class 801 and now the DB BR 642) so maybe when an OBB version is made for TSW4, they could revisit the Taurus and give it authentic sounds
