As a physcally challenged player using a keyboard on PS5 for TSW5 Kinzigtal and Maintalbahn, i need a BR 462 magnetic brake accessibility key binding, preferably a toggle such as the keys J K for on-off. For PC, the Options do not have an entry for Magnetic Brakes, but they are essential per the DB manual for using max 120 kph between close station stops of less than 2km separation in order to respect braking distance requirements in operations. I cannot use the mag brakes on PS5 and view the track ahead as you have not enabled mouse use or keyboard setting options on that console. These are real accessibility issues for those whose palsy limits their speed and dexterity. The switch is a toggle, but a single key risks double tap which is a palsy issue: one key for ON and one other key for OFF solves this. Euro Truck Sim 2, a highly rated transport sim, now allow use of the controller shoulder button to be a modifier allowing keys or buttons to have reuse.
an BR 462 is sadly not in TSW yet and afaik not planned. Its hard to get RRX license due the amount of companies its owned..!
Either way, you do not actually use the magnetic track brake as a normal service brake - you must have misunderstood the manual. The mg brake is for emergencies only, so imo it's forgivable for it to not have a keyboard shortcut.
