This single unit dmu with cabs at both ends of the same car seems to be used alot on UK branchlines.So with dtg always making a good number of branchlines wouldn't it make sence to use this thing at some point?If not on a route maybe as a loco add on.
They only recently started operating in Scotland, strengthening West Highland services I believe. They would be more at home in the South West or Wales, or Eastern England. Ideally you would also make the 2 car Class 155 from which the 153’s were actually created. The first being 155304 which was seriously damaged after colliding with a tree on the line at Keynsham and was eventually put on a low loader from Canton up to Kilmarnock for repair and conversion.
