Maybe this has already be suggested but I think the Class 16 would be a nice addition to some of the existing "oldtimer" routes. Afaik there's no class 16 left, so it would be hard to rebuild it and get sounds but on the other hand it would be cool to revive it in a simulation like this. Something that could be done with other locos and maybe in collaboration with a museum or something like that.
According to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_16 they were rubbish and unreliable, and all were cut up for scrap only a decade after they were built. Doesn't sound like it would make a brilliant addition to the TSW fleet, if they were ever even seen on any of the routes we have!
For the route I would suggest WSR. Even if they weren't great in reality, it would still be great to see some "extinct" locos and I think they do look cool.
I too think that extinct locomotives and units would be a nice addition as there are a few classes no longer with us. The WSR or other future heritage lines might be the best place for them perhaps with layers on any current or future relevant routes for each class.
They were scrapped and here's the problem it has a Red Circle MU code making Class 16 incompatible with Northern Transpennine Class 45 DLC Class 40 Tees Valley Line Class 37 DLC Classes 31/1 & 20 WSR Class 33 DLC locomotive for Blue Star MU. The way to add it in to NTP TVL is making them 1960s then Class 31 gets a Variant Class 31/0 Red Circle MU. Which will make Class 31/0 incompatible with TVL Class 31/1 for MU purposes.
