Just found a bug with the BR Class 20. Top headlight is blocked by some kind of bug with the head code disc. Kinda hard to explain, so here is video footage of the bug: https://1drv.ms/v/s!AkX2xZTEEnufhUD7QQ5N1KUkHA-i And a picture:
Send it. If they close the ticket and the issue remains unresolved (which has happened to me every time I have sent one), send another. Then repeat. They've got to listen eventually, right?
You got TSW2 installed - can you check the NTP Class 40 Headcodes version if turning on the marker lights illuminates the left hand side windowframes on the loco?
I've just tested on TSW2020. All working there. It's things like these that feel like the game is degenerating... TSW2020 Class 20 & Class 40 Class 40 (Headcode since TSW2)
Spikee1975 Just checked: Class 40 doesn't work correctly as well on TSW2. Upper center light triggers that weird door glass liner illumination and the lower right triggers the engine room light. Lower center and lower left right lights work correctly w/o triggering any other light sources. Die klassische Verschlimmbesserung ...
Did anyone submit a ticket for this bug? This is getting ridiculous, and the reason I do not play much anymore. Every time I play it's always something new. Instead of pumping out dlc after dlc, fix stuff! Smh.
Yes, I sent a bug ticket for the Class 20 bug this morning... But I am just one person, so will probably get ignored by DTG support unless more people send tickets.
DTG Matt Sorry to tag you, but as this bug seems to be affecting headcode discs on the Class 20 AND Class 40, could this bug be connected? Anything you could do to help would be super appreciated.
Do you think DTG is worried about fixing broken DLCs? Never! With 25 slots in SteamDB it is certain that 15 DLCs will come in TSW 4 easily, they want to sell more new DLCs, we just don't know if they will come with problems. Considering DTG's track record of bug fixing, I pretty much doubt they'll even look into this. As much as you submit tickets. (Straight to the dust bin, I suspect) And then again: Be careful what you ask for. You don't want this (ugly but minor) bug fixed and having introduced three, four, five brand new exciting ones. That wouldn't be a first.
Sadly, I’ve found that loco DLC rarely gets fixed. Because of the relatively low number of people owning them in comparison to routes, they don’t fit well with the policy of fixing issues that affect the most players first. This means they never get to the top of the list. This may be made even more tricky with the bugs being introduced at a later date, such as when locos are converted for use with livery designer. Since this bug can be hidden by not using that light and keeping the disc closed it won’t be seen as important enough for dev time to be allocated to fixing it. Now of course it is a challenge for DTG to prove me wrong, and fix it in a timely manner.
Many of these problems with locomotives can be solved through the MODs, but no one is interested, as there is nothing to be gained from it, if DTG provided support like: "- Wow, this guy fixed a bug, let's give $1 dollar to his account Steam for this fix", several MODs would certainly appear correcting the problems.
I agree with you guys, and hope that somehow DTG will get around to fixing these and other outstanding bugs, but won't hold my breath on it happening. I just spent the last 15 minutes capturing video footage of the Class 40 headcode and engine room light bugs, so will get a support ticket sent off and hope that it gains some traction with the DTG devs.
