The BR Class 25 is a Diesel Loco, also known as the "Sulzer Type 2", The first 25 locos built Were Built as Class 25/0 at BR Darlington Works in total 327 of these were built between 1961 and 1967

this loco is interesting, as it ran essentially through the whole of the UK, there was no specific area it worked in, it worked everywhere

this loco could layer into a lot of BR era content, such as Northern Transpennine and Blackpool Branches.

These Locos have a similar Throttle/Brake to every other br loco.

I would love another small non-shunting diesel to come to TSW as the only ones are the 31 & 33. A loco such as The Rat would be at home on any route thanks to them being everywhere on the BR network (hence the nickname)

    Two words… Yes. Please.

Though the 25/2 variant might be more flexible particularly if we ever get any remote Scottish routes or the Cambrian in loco hauled days.

Yes to this. Much needed class that could find use on a few routes.

Yes I totally agree that we need a class 25 and a class 27.

The 25 was a key transpennine loco too - it was often used to bank trains freight trains out of Manchester Victoria.

I have been wanting a Rat for ages, since NTP was released. The routes are there and so is the rolling stock. The 25 is also easily accessible for sounds and reference in pres too, would be a very welcome addition.

Also, I have connections and involvement with a 3D model of a brand new Class 25 - if anyone would reach out, I'm sure interest would be had for a project.

I’ll add my ‘Yes’ to this. It would be a great addition to TSW.

Bring it on to the game and make it compatible with all blue star MU locomotives Classes 20 31 33 40 and 45. That way it can control all Blue Star MU system locomotives. If you have a class 73 make sure to put it on diesel mode otherwise you won't be able to operate it from the class 25 rat
