Hi All, I found some issues with the BR Class 313, hope they haven't been listed before. When loading a savegame: The DRA 'set' light is not illuminated, switching it off and on again fixes it though. The GSM-R is on, but the display is dead, it has to be switched off and on again to make it work. The guard's key disappears, have to put it in manually again. Other issues: When going from Lewes to Falmer, there's a section with a steep, 1.1% incline. The speed limit is 70 mph - is it normal that the train is still accelerating in notch 1? Feels weird, and it doesn't happen all the time. The cab's doors only open/close if the guard's key is inserted (I mean the switches inside, beside each door). I can still open the doors in a 'traditional' way, but not with the switch. It starts accelerating almost as fast as my Hond Civic Type-R from a standstill, is that realistic? Would be nice to know more about these, as I don't know much about the Class 313. Aside from these minor issues, I really like the train.
That's correct. The guard's key enables/disables the panel While those with personal experience can chime in, my understanding is that these units are geared rather like subways, for jackrabbit acceleration off the line. The price to be paid is really sluggish acceleration at higher speeds (getting from 60 to 75 takes forever).
