Br Class 70 Diesel Locomotive

    A interesting suggestion that has been mentioned a few times before. This is the second BR TOPS iteration of Class 70, the first being a DC electric locomotive for use on the southern region which came in two variants.
    This GE diesel locomotive type is used by Freightliner and Colas.

    Would be a nice DLC. Especially for GWR routes or Southampton/Eastleigh based routes.

    There was quite an initial reaction at their appearance. That's died down now of course but they're still ugly. They're the Bullied Q1 of sheds.

    Sadly, for modern crash worthiness reasons, this design was chosen by GE which is very unusual in appearance to regular British tastes. I'm sure it is still a very useful asset even if it does look hideous. I think that the Freightliner livery is a slight improvement on the Colas version but liveries only disguise them so much.
